What's the simplest possible way to create an animated ouija board effect? By simple, I mean repurposing available parts with the least amount of effort and skill possible, e.g:
1) Use store-bought ouija board (I've seen people create their own, larger ouija boards--don't have the skill or patience for that)
2) Use store-bought mechanism for movement (I've seen an Instructable that uses several pulleys and circuits--too complicated for me).
3) Not looking for seemingly random movement (although that would be cool, it's too complex)
Could a mini oscillating fan be repurposed to create an arc of movement for the planchette?
Also, saw a cool youtube video this morning of a haunted chess board. Only one piece moved. I liked the simplicity. Wondering also how I might easily recreate this:
