Animated Spirit Ball broken!
So, my $20 Spirit Ball purchased in 2007 broke last night.
I took it apart and noticed two small yellowish hot glue parts had broken off and were rattling around. I removed and disposed them.
More importantly, I saw two wires that weren't attached to their soldering points. A Pink wire and a Black wire.
Carefully, I took the black wire (see Picture below) and touched it against a one of the exposed soldering points and to my amazement the Spirit Ball started up.
Here are my questions:
1. Do both wires (the black wire and pink wire) need to be re-attached?
If so, where?
2. Due to the mechanical motion of the prop, it appears the wires might be stressed over time.
Is there anything I should use to re-enforce the wires, so they don't snap off from the soldering points?
Thanks!
