Hey! I'm really hoping there isn't one already, but I've decided to start this thread for anyone to post photos of Spirit Halloween animatronics or other store-bought props that they've modified. If anything, you can post non-Spirit things, but keep it generally Spirit.
The collector in me decided to pick up the remake "Uncle Charlie" which is quite honestly a disgrace to the original considering how it looks when taken out of the box. I decided I needed to do three things to make this guy closer to the original, and just better in general:
1. Fix the eyelids and eye positioning (the factories love to stretch out the eyelids and then glue the eyes, making them bulge, pop, and de-position themselves)
2. Fix the head shaping (as seen in photos below)
3. Change the LEDs in his eyes from yellow to red to more resemble the original
4. Replace the thin foam pieces in the arms with thick pool noodles
I have only completed steps 1 and 2, but am excited to move on to the other steps. Here's how it turned out:
I think he looks much more realistic and menacing now. All I need to do now is get those pool noodles on and fix his eye LEDs.
Now, let's see what stuff you guys have done!
