Do you have cost limitations for the prizes

 

I try to stay under $20 per category

 

If you want to do matching gifts to go with the categories, maybe you can get gifts that really speak volumes.

Some brief examples:
"WTF?!"- Alcohol with a note attached maybe saying "to help you forget this mess of a costume".
"Best Couple Costume"- Special gift for the pair to share

 

Every year I throw a big Costume Halloween Party with prizes for the following categories:

Best Couple
Sexiest
Funniest
Best Overall
WTF?!

I try to come up with unique prizes to match each winning category. This year I am drawing a blank. Any suggestions?

For Best Couple you could give a certificate to an adult toy store.
For Sexiest you could give a mask or riding crop.
Don't have any suggestions for the others.
I usually give something universal as prizes for the costumes. Something like a halloween decorations, a halloween bowl with goodies inside, etc.

I try to buy prizes that go with the theme of the party. Quick google search for the theme figurines.

 

For best overall I'd give them things that are useful in making your own costumes.

Heat gun, book on cosplay, a sheet of worbla or terraflex, etc
