I feel like their large busts were around $50-60 in the past so a significant jump for sure.
I measured my handsome gargoyle and he's about 30 1/2" inches tall, so these new busts should be the same height if you got to see the gargoyle IRL last year. He was $100. And his eyes also had LEDs like the busts in the pic. So $80 seems like an okay price range just on the fact that the busts are less girthy than handsome gargoyle but ultimately the same height.
This pic is from reddit showing a lady next to one on a table

Thanks for the link Mameshiba! That bat candelabra you posted is really cool but yikes that thing is expensive. Maybe its way larger than I am imagining though.

So... hypothetically speaking, wonder what would happen if someone pried out that LED and put a real candle in one of those metal jack o lanterns? It shouldn't get hot enough to wreck the paint I wouldn't think? It doesn't say it is indoor only although leaving it outside would pretty much guarantee rust.
My only concern is the potential off-gassing of the paint when heated. Since it's unlikely they used heat resistant paint. Not hot enough to peel the paint, but enough to start the micro chemical reaction of putting volatile compounds in the air you and your family breathe.

And remember folks, if you have uBlock Origin as your adblocker on your browser, you can block an image. So items you don't care about/already own don't show up when you revisit the halloween section, it only shows newly added entries or stuff you're keeping an eye out for.

I just right click on the webpage and choose 'Block Element' from the pop up menu and then click on the image I want to make invisible.

Viola, all gone.

See ya later inflatables 👋
Sayonara garlands and wreaths 👋

I usually 'block' 10 per day each for Marshalls, TJMaxx, and At Home during peak database season to make browsing easier without overwhelming myself.

For Marshalls + TJMaxx you need to always select the network filter that has a long string of numbers and "_NS" in it. Sometimes when you click an image it will have like 4 network filters
Image

or a short string (like the 3rd option here) is a few numbers, asterisk, and then the NS -- blocking this one won't actually remove the image. You need the one with long numbers and the NS.
Image

Sometimes it will look like your block undoes itself when you go to block second image but that's because you need to reload the page (ctrl+shift+R) or (ctrl+F5) for all filters to be applied at the same time. Refreshing the page doing the circle icon or just a plain F5 won't apply your filters. When you browse a web page, your browser stores some of the content on your computer, so that next time you view the page it doesn't have to reload those things across the internet. This makes it able to load the page faster (aka cache). (ctrl+shift+R) or (ctrl+F5) tells the browser to reload the whole thing anew.

Refresh =/= Reload

Hoping this helps y'all on eye strain b/c I know last year At Home had about 24 pages of items under their 'Halloween' section since they double dipped with fall harvest.

Looks like a dupe of the Design Toscano chair which was at least $1,500 IIRC but it had the hallow chest where you could put your fingers in if you wanted.

Cerberus looks amazing!
Looks like they're getting stuff from the same supplier at HomeGoods with that skull bench. Mine was $150 and theirs is $170.

The bat candelabra was released sometime before according to google images but with a different base. We can see the usual elastic tag that HomeGoods price tags are paired with on it.

I sorted from most expensive to least.
Assuming this bench is more or less the same thing, how sturdy is yours? And did the eyes light up too?

Outside of other people getting it last year I never saw it in person.

Not sturdy at all. The heads themselves are sturdy but they're like Lego people with nub top. And the bench itself has the corresponding inverted nub. You just gotta line up the heads enough to get the bench to slot in. There's nothing that actually locks it into place. So when you sit you sometimes wobble the bench since it's not a clean tight fit like ikea furniture. Like the back of your thighs hit the bench first which causes it to tilt before your bum goes down which then pushes it back down. If I sit and do a wiggle jiggle on it, it does rattle. I worry if it's free standing and someone leans back to far, they they flip over. It's also super uncomfortable to sit on, the uneven bones just ram into your backside. You'll be in pain if you use it to sit for the entirety of halloween passing out candy to Trick or Treaters.

I have mine on my front porch against the brick wall with a cauldron welcome mat. I mainly use it to sit to take on/off my mud-caked garden boots. The brick wall will prevent me from flipping over. The eyes do light up red, the back of the skulls is the flat battery compartment, they are not waterproof (like there's no rubber gasket). Each skull has its own. I use an adapter so it's always plugged into the outlet and I have a timer so they always turn on at sunset and turn off at midnight. My porch is covered so the rain doesn't reach the battery compartment and the outlet is right next to it to the cables are quite hidden. The red LEDs are BRIGHT, like laser beams. I got the idea from one of my skelly dragons. They put a plastic flatback crystal over the eyes with some hot glue (crystal cannot have any backing, some of them have like a silver foil). The faceting of the crystal diffuses the light so the glow is spread out over a larger surface area and doesn't blind you. The wider the crystal, the more the diffusion.
I'd love to try out a big one like this rather than the small one I have from a pre-made pack from JoAnn. Maybe I should learn how to resin cast and make my own using a silicone mold?

I've been meaning to do the same thing with this piece I got last year

The warm white LEDs are just so blinding in certain angles. So I'm hoping to grab a pack of flatbacks and experiment with colors. Like if I put a green flatback on it will the warm white underneath make it like an oxidised copper color?

Wow, At Home's prices this year make Lowe's prices seem cheap. I just can't see people spending that much for multiple items unless they get a boost from people hungry to buy Halloween and being the first to have the majority of their items in the store.

I'm thinking we may see a lot of Halloween decorations, besides the most popular few items, reach deep clearance this year across all retail if these prices are similar.

Since I’ve been seeing things posted here about items being placed out in display and for sale, I called the two stores in the Columbus, Ohio area and received such so – so Customer Service that got me a bit disgruntled. One of the employees told me that the other At Home stores were not allowed to put out their merchandise and yada yada yada. I asked her if she could at least look up an item number and she said no, she could not. The other Columbus Ohio At Home was a similar experience. I then called At Home in southwestern Pennsylvania and the person that answered the phone was very helpful. I gave him two item numbers and he said they had two of each, but they would not be put on display and up for sale until week 22 or week 23. He easily could pull up the item with the stock number that I gave him unlike what the employees in Ohio said to me. I just wish that the stores could get all their employees on the same wavelength, these items are not cheap and you would think the employees would do everything to try to get them sold (job security). But I don’t run a big corporation so what do I know. Now the ones that are displaying and selling their items could be outside my regional district .

It’s all luck of the draw with stores and employees. And that’s any store not just At Home. I’ve had employees n managers pull Christmas stuff out of the back stock room.
managers sell displays in mid end of September. Stuff sold off the wooden pallets that just came off the truck and employees dig for stuff. Even employees giving me a discount. There’s a veterans discount at HD. I’m a vet but they suggested it. A manager selling displays in Sept. a Big Lots manager also did the same. So as far as stores I’ve been very very lucky. HD price matches their sales also in store. It’s something everyone needs to do. Paying full price and then receiving the sale price when it goes on sale. Actually I got lucky with both my dragon and headless horseman as it when on sale twice. I got the sale price refunded to me both times. I ended up paying $125 and $140 for the horseman n dragon one year. So it’s how you go about doing things. I also have bought displays wo asking. Certain stores won’t do it and I know these places. So I dont ask. Just grab it, load it on my cart - go to self checkout pay leave n don’t look back. If asked play dumb. My buddy actually climbed 3 shelves up, dismantled a Lowe’s Raven tombstone, cut the zip tie holding it down, took it apart - loaded it on the cart. We went to check out, paid n left 😳😳😳🤷🏻‍♂️🤣🤗
True story

With them having a perpetual 15% off coupon for signing up for their email list you always have to think of the MSRP as that much cheaper similar to JoAnn and their perpetual 40% off coupon.
So the skelly wheelbarrow is $128, the 30inch tall skelly bust duo are $68/ea, the groundbreakers are $213/ea.
If you are lucky to have already been signed up they sometimes send a "baby come back" 20% off coupon. So in that instance it'd be
$120 wheelbarrow
$64 busts
$200 groundbreaker

So I dont ask. Just grab it, load it on my cart - go to self checkout pay leave n don’t look back. If asked play dumb.
Asking for forgiveness is better than asking for permission. I've definitely done a 'check out at the garden center with the teenage cashier' to avoid being seen by the manager at the front desk going to regular self checkout.

I've had way more success getting stuff 'from the back' or 'from the rafters' if I'm dressed the part of a weirdo who wants halloween in so early.
At Home's folks helping a regular person get halloween in July? 😴
At Home's folks helping someone dressed like Morticia Addams get halloween in July? 🏃‍♂️💪📦

I worked several retail jobs myself when I was younger, something quirky like this is so much more fun to do than the daily slough. It also comes off as more sincere, you want this halloween stuff b/c you live and breathe halloween. Versus looking like you want halloween stuff to be a scalper or influencer.

When does their fiscal year start? This week is week 23 from 'start of the calendar year' perspective but I know not all companies start their fiscal years then. (Like my company starts the fiscal year in April which would put week 23 as the second week of September which is too late.)

Where did you find that out athomestore has been active today on Instagram and Facebook
I don't see anything official from today. There are some articles from the end of May that explain they are in the process of preparing for chapter 11 bankruptcy in the near future. I'll be curious to learn what their plans for continuing will be (assuming they plan to continue).

All of the At Home store walkthroughs I'm seeing on YouTube convinced me to stop at the At Home closest to me here in Utah yesterday on my way home from work. There wasn't a single Halloween related item out in the store anywhere. Utah always seems to be behind other places nationally when it comes to putting out season decor (except for Christmas).

For things this early it's usually stores that are near the flagship (eg. Texas), stores near the distribution hubs (eg. Pennsylvania), and stores in the state's capital. The youtuber lady I posted lives in Denver, Colorado so she's got "capital" as her advantage.

IIRC Reis World and her family live in Texas which is where a lot of distribution hubs are for so many brands so that's why she always has quite a lot of decent inventory videos when they go looking and I'm so thankful for those so I can cross off things on my list due to the quality not looking as good IRL compared to website pics.
I usually had the jump on JoAnn posts as I live near the flagship.
Hoping we get to see some Tennessee folks posting on behalf of Ross Dress for Less and their 'we're keeping Big Lots' corpse alive'.

Meanwhile, in north Georgia… Homegoods has zip, Marshall’s had a bikini skeleton pillow and friend in an area that appeared to be holds but nothing else, Michael’s had a few things that seemed to not be their regular Halloween offerings and At Home, per normal, was already starting to bring it. This was Tuesday so bet there is way more now.
