I would love that reaper chair. I've always wanted a "Halloween" chair to sit in while passing out candy to the TOT'rs instead of using my folding tailgate chair. But $500 is a bit much, don't want one that much. It looks cool, but appears to be heavy, very heavy and made of resin. I'd end up breaking it just trying to move it around, and then my disappointment would be immeasurable and my day would be ruined.

Yeah for $500, it should have lights, It would be cool to install some and add maybe a fog machine. It needs a cushion too lol

Meanwhile, in north Georgia… Homegoods has zip, Marshall’s had a bikini skeleton pillow and friend in an area that appeared to be holds but nothing else, Michael’s had a few things that seemed to not be their regular Halloween offerings and At Home, per normal, was already starting to bring it. This was Tuesday so bet there is way more now.

Interesting, this supplier comes from Hong Kong. I know in 2019 the US pretty much said items from HK will be done by the same rate and mainland China, before it was a free port and has its own rate specific to it. IDK if anything changed since then.

I honestly forgot about Kirkland's, I guess we can expect them to have a chapter 11 coming up soon.
What I didn't know is that they have a business partnership with [Bed Bath &) Beyond aka "Overstock.com". That does explain why their site is riddled with 3rd party trash. Last year the site was more sleek and only showed their own merch similar to At Home's site.

Here are a few photos of the Pumpkin Ground Breaker and some thoughts. The photos will show how the head is stored inside the body, the orange paint is sloppy in some places and you can see the C7 light bulb at a certain angle. We will be changing the lighting in his head. I love Rattles and the At Home Skeleton ground breaker. The pumpkin ground breaker is the least favorite of the three and I love pumpkins. The arms fit together and snapped on easily, but as you can see in the photos, the orange is quite bright and was carelessly painted. The small light really doesn’t do much but I knew that going in. I wish he had a neck… even if it was a vertebrae or two! The color difference of the head (rather dull) to the body (vivid) is a bit mismatched. I did get him at 15% off using At Home’s a sign up coupon.

Would I buy him again… yes but he is no Embers

I really wanted to like that ground breaker, but the color on this no-neck-kin groundbreaker is awful. I can't say i dislike the overall design, but the mismatched paint just absolutely ruins it. A full and complete repaint of both head and body could make this one a decent prop. As it is, it's awfully disjointed looking, like someone cobbled pieces together at the last minute and called it done.

I think the skull bench might be the thing from At Home drawing my attention at the moment. However, it's hard to get that excited for it based on the price even with a coupon. It's a nice accent piece, but, for the price, I can almost buy something a lot more noticeable and eye catching.

So the pumpkin ground breaker does look better at night. I have not used any filters on this photo, I have only cropped it. I removed his left arm because he is too big to sit on this table when it’s attached. It did not break, I took it off. Please be gentle with your criticism of him! Lol.

I like him. I'd have to see him in person to compare him with the groundbreakers I bought last year from Costco and Joann. I like that it's a different version all together, but I don't like him as much as the one from Party City last year. I was hoping Costco would reskin Embers this year, but it sounds like they might not be doing much, if anything, for Halloween this year due to the tariffs.

I still think using a small amount of slightly darker transparent stain lightly brushed over it to corpse the head a little to better match the body might make it even better without losing the orange from the pumpkin head completely.

Yes, I wanted to get Embers but where I live there was no Party City. We are going to rework his head. I like him, he is just not my favorite prop. It was a 2 hour drive for me to get to the nearest At Home so I like enough to not make that to our drive, plus the two hours back, to return him. Besides, once the props enter my house they become my children! I start to get protective of them!😁 I think your idea with the stain is, but I will do to him or I might just try on different pumpkins from Home Depot as his head. I have plenty of time to figure out what I’m going to do with him.
I also purchased the skull bench and it is nice piece. When I drive two hours I make it worth my while!

I will put mine in the cemetery as a bench for whatever monster/skeleton I think matches. I am hoping it makes my cemetery a tad bit more realistic…a bench for ‘mourners’.

That's what I was thinking of doing with it as well, using one or two of the HD ultra posable skeletons. Are the skulls plastic or resin? I started avoiding resin a couple of years ago. It looks nice and it usually adds enough weight to keep things upright in the wind. However, they tend to be more of a pain when it comes to storing and I have to be extra careful so they don't chip or break. Plastic is simply easier for me and still looks good when done right.

If I can get a 15% off coupon while they are still in stock. I'll probably get one since I like most things skeleton related since my yard is mostly a cemetery theme.
