Zombie containment prop almost finished

I used hi-rezdesigns zombie containment dvd to make this prop. I wanted to create a prop where it appears that the zombie is about to break out. The pneumatics are triggered by encoding in the dvd. The box is bolted together so it can easily be disassembled for storage purposes. I might grime it up a bit and add a beacon light on the top which would also be triggered by the dvd. The box was painted with metalic beaten metal rustoleum - you can't tell in the video but it really does look like beated metal. In real life the sound track is much louder. Overall I like it, it is a loud prop so I'm not sure where I will place it for my annual party.

This is an awesome prop! I really like it! Could you maybe explanin how the pnuematics are hooked up to work from the DVD encoding? I would love to build one of these, but can't quite wrap my head around the DVD triggering the cylinder? Thanks in Advance for the help! Again, this looks awesome!

The dvd has 2 different audio tracks you can choose from. One is a simple stereo version and one has a trigger version. The audio output of the laptop is split into a right and left channel. The left channel goes to a speaker and the right goes to a dtmf decoder. The decoder act as a relay switch and triggers the pneumatic solenoid valve in sync with the video. Below is an asylum door I made with the same concept - again the video was from Hi-rezdesign. They also sell the decoder.

I saw the Hi-Rez site a few minutes ago. Pretty Cool stuff. One more question about the door, which looked awesome as well. What did you skin the door with? The Ax chops look awesome and I assume there are three cylinders activated individually on each chop, but what material did you use on the door so it "re-set" at the end of the DVD loop? Thanks again for your help!

kcharles12, that's even better than the original barrel!

I have been thinking about ordering the DVD and building one of these but I have a concern that you should be able to answer. Being stuffed in lengthways, the zombie should be tilting his head upwards so he can see out the window. But it doesn't look like that in the video, as best I can tell. It looks like he's standing up in the narrow part of the barrel/box, which wouldn't make sense because there obviously isn't enough room. What does it look like closeup in person?

I absolutely love the details on the containment, in particular the lock and the latch that looks like it's ready to bust off any second! Great job!!!
