I don't think its a question of writer's block.
Seems to me that its just much easier to write a script if you know 'who' is talking and 'why' they are talking.
'Generic' is a challenge.

do you want scripts for things like a phase, a pause, then another phrase. as in for an animated character? or do you want like intro/caution/at your own risk/rules type scripts?

Ghost Host

Welcome to our humble haunted mansion. Make yourselves at home while I recount the legend of this home for ghosts, zombies, and spirits. It’s said that each room has a tale to tell. But, since no one has ever made it out alive, the mansion still holds its secrets. Perhaps, tonight, the house will reveal it’s mournful tales to you, but then, it’s doubtful you will ever find your way out. (Laugh) You may now enter our haunted mansion, if you dare! (Laugh…fades)

House Rules

Welcome. So glad you could join us. Proof of the living is so rare. For everyone’s enjoyment and personal safety, there are a few simple rules. Anyone caught breaking these rules will be promptly escorted off the premises. Where you may end up is anyone’s guess.
· No smoking or open flames allowed on the premises. No ifs, ands, or butts…pardon the pun.
· No alcohol, drugs, or weapons of any kind.
· Please, no cameras. The creatures inside are quite camera shy.
· No running, pushing, or foul language.
· As my dead uncle likes to say, touching nothing, and nothing will touch you.
· Our ghosts prefer total darkness. Please, no flashlights, laser pointers, or other lights in the haunt.
· There are no refunds!
Lastly, enter at your own risk! (Laugh...fades)

The Séance

Come in. Come in. Don’t be afraid. Our séance is just about to begin. Spirits? Spirits? We summon you to join us this night. What’s that? I thought I felt something, or someone. Spirits, if you wish to join us, give us a sign. Knock three times if you are there. (Two knocks) Come close and join us. Knock three times if you dare! (Two knocks…scream) Oh dear, the spirits trapped in this house know you’re here now. (Gasps) They won’t rest until they’ve succeeded in making you one of them. Flee, quickly, or remain here, forever more!!!!!

 

Good evening, children. Welcome to my home, I have been waiting for you for such a very long time, an eternity, it seems. I am so glad you could come to my little (evil laugh) party. It's so nice to add a few more warm bodies. After all, you can never have enough victims, (evil laugh), I mean guests. And if you feel like screaming, please do, it makes you taste so much better...



Welcome, children, welcome. So nice to see your sweet, warm little faces. Can you come in and play? We are so lonely here, in the dark, and no one heard us scream. So, come in, come in, there's so many games to play! And no one will hear you scream and you can stay forever and forever and forever (gradually fade out).

If you are trying to hit the 30 second mark then if I can remember from my radio days I believe it is approximately 70 words and for a minute it is approximately 120 words. I'm not positive since it has been nearly 7 years but that is what I recall.

The House Rules scripted for Dusza to do the Voice over was in violation of copyright from Skulltronix unbeknownst to Dusza, so it had to be removed. Also, DB isn't doing any more recordings until after Halloween, as he has to get his haunt set up too. Perhaps after Halloween, you can ask him record something for you, as long as the script is yours and original.
