Yes, absolutely.
Props spend most of their lives boxed. I definitely enjoy having Spirit props in their unique boxes (aside from that one "blue" year) far more than I like a plain cardboard box. To me the artwork lends some "life" to the prop.
There are enough people who feel as I do, that a desirable Spirit prop in it original box should go for more money on Ebay. If someone wants to sell it for less than they could get to someone who doesn't care about boxes then they would be kind of silly to do that.
Also, from a practical standpoint, boxes are a good indicator of how well a prop has been cared for. A pristine box tells me that the prop has likely been well cared for. Cardboard shows water damage, mildew, dry rot, much better than a prop does. The prop gets damaged by heat, wet, and mildew too, you just can't see it. Frankly, a pristine original box is the best indicator to me that the prop itself is in good condition. If there is no original box I have to strongly consider that the box probably got wet or mildewed (as did the prop, but you can clean a prop and disguise the fact that it suffered damage, you can't clean cardboard).
Props are more collectible and valuable with the box, and are much more likely to be functioning properly. I will only consider a Spirit prop not in its original box if it is EXTREMELY rare, and I REALLY want it. Some I won't even consider without the box, like 14" Spirit Balls.
