Thanks so much😊 We do family friendly a lot of the time. Just our street has 5 big displays now. Everyone else does scary. That's covered. So we try to do something on the big part of the front yard that's not scary. The little ones feel brave but that they still got to experience something. And our house has become a tradition for our subdivision. Seems like all ages like it. You can do a lot with tomato cages😉

Oh, yeah, I saw it on Pintrest and I'm totally a fan of Peanuts. Said, I can do that. So I did😄 We dud a backdrop too and had some Peanuts standees doing our setup and a neighbor walked by with his 2 yr old. Who had just watched this. He told me in his 2 yr old talk how he loved Peanuts and was going to visit us on Halloween. Sure enough, Halloween came, so did they, he actually said to me "I got a rock!" 😂 My favorite ToT's💕 They leave us notes for Christmas and Halloween for our decorations. The kids draw us pictures. Totally adorable. Peanuts almost always make it into our Halloween display. No matter the theme 😆

That’s awesome yeah you’re lucky. My house continuously gets the spookiest most haunted house in my neighborhood hands-down nobody is even close to what I do because it’s a little on the darker side but not over the top and I make everything myself so everybody usually always make sure they check out my house but I’m grateful for anything that anybody else puts up. I love watching people’s faces when I tell them that I made everything they’re looking at it’s a good feeling

Oh, that sounds so cool!!! I love doing diy props. That way they're unique💕 I buy things pre-made too. But my things people love our our diy props. It's always, how did you make it? What did you do??? I so agree with you. I love to see all the smiles on everyone's faces. What a fantastic thing, knowing we can make others happy😄

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comments😍 Yes, it's echoed over and over by the parents, that they appreciate knowing our home will be "safe" and non-scary but still an "experience" the kids can be excited about😄 It brings me joy that we see ear to ear smiles no matter the age. So far we seem to hit the sweet spot. And all ages like our displays, adults, teens, tweens and children😉 We do scary things as well sometimes too, money and time permitting. It goes on the small side yard and backyard. The little ones are told to cross the street or not to look at the side yard. Seems to work.

Love this! Very clever! Stealing it!
I do a window projection in our picture window every year, but because there are so many younger children in our neighborhood I ended up ditching the scary scenes and playing It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown in a loop instead. It's now become an annual tradition for the TOTs, which is great. But I was looking to freshen things up. This will be perfect for that.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Steal away with my blessings😉 My peanuts gang are kind of like "Where's Waldo" 😆 You'd be surprised how many themes I sneak them into😄 Everyone loves them. I also bought a Great Pumpkin backdrop from Oriental Trading and attached it to styrofoam sheeting. With a Sally and Linus standee in front of it. Sooo cute. So, we had the whole theme going on😊
I love that you play the video, kudos to you for thinking of the young and young at heart ToT's ❤💗❤

I'm really late to this thread, but I love the pictures. Happy you decided to do this. My family loves Peanuts. Do you plan to do anything else? You also put a bunch of pumpkins to the side of the peanuts and create Linus waiting for the great Pumpkin. Just an idea of course!

I did do a side yard with a great pumpkin background (snoopy rising from pumpkin patch silhouette) from a background scene setter I got from orientaltrading.com. I attached it to styrofoam sheeting, also had Linus and Sally "standee" characters from there, placed by it. And lots of real pumpkins placed in front of the great pumpkin patch background scene. It was soooo cute. Then, other little tomato cage ghosts scattered in the yard. Sheet over styrofoam head, I drew cartoon ghost face directly on the sheet with Sharpie permanent marker. Gave them cute, silly, faces since kid friendly theme. Carved pumpkins with peanuts characters. The rest, farm/scarecrow/pumpkin motif. Raffia and pumpkin lights along fence. Scarecrows, hay bales scattered throughout.
Big almost theatre sized home made screen made from firring strips, decorated frame for fall, with leaves, cornstalks at the side, a few crows. Projected singing/story telling jack-o-lanterns. 3 large hay bales for seating. Friendly skeletons in the window.
