Medusa Tombstone

I found a 3D model of Medusa's face on a plaque on Makerworld and thought it would be perfect for a tombstone. The model has eyeballs that are separate from the rest of the face and it has a cutout behind so plenty of room to put some led lights. I ended up making semi-transparent eyeballs out of resin that diffuse the light from behind very nicely. I also felt that the detail of the snakes was going to get lost with only an uplight on the ground in front of her, so I mounted 2 RGB leds hidden in the canopy above her head to provide light from above. With the base the stone is more than 5' tall.

Yep, I dig that!
Did you end up painting over the "Look away!" Or is that just the red light on the red text effect happening there?
yeah - I saw that and it’s weird. I think it’s just that the red light made it fade out. We had the “look away” thing in mind all along so we left room at the bottom for it.

The red light will definitely hide your red painted words, but if you're adventurous, you can have your lighting fade in and out between red and another color and the words will magically appear when the light changes. It's actually quite a fun effect, and you've already got the shock built into the wording. :)
