So many great ideas posted in this thread, The Painted haunted mansion pictures look amazing. I had a Haunted Mansion theme about 3 years ago. I got my hands on some good quality jpg of the stretching pictures in the hall. The colors aren't as vibrant as the modern ones they have now, but it was good enough quality for me to send to print 2 1/2 ft x 5 ft - If they will help anyone's theme this year, I will share - just message me

Finished Dueling Portraits...

Just got my hands on this item:

It's from an east coast seller (who didn't seem to know much about the origin of it, other than that it came from a yard sale in Florida and was for making "replicas") but based on the thickness and shape of the mold, I'm thinking it may have come from Disney.

Worst case scenario, I'll use it to make some copies for my organ prop and save myself the $20 a piece that I'd pay Ana (the ebay seller who has a lot of HM stuff).

Just saw on Ebay the 1 to 1 scale Disney's HAUNTED MANSION Replica house (10,000 Sq Ft 7 Bedroom 6 Bath in Atlanta, GA) for sale!!!!!!

$873,000

Howdy all! I have some HM things to share--one I made, and one I bought :) I apologize in advance for the HUGE pics, but the detail is lost if I resize them.

I made a 3 part stencil of a simplified version of the HM wallpaper monsters/demons/faces. It was super-elaborate, and where my stencils aren't perfect, I'm pretty pleased with the results. The executed stencil is on a 16x20 canvas that I'm going to frame. I made 2 to go in my haunted parlor... I'll be going over the eyes with GITD paint so that they glow in the blacklights that will be in the parlor :) Actually executing the stencil took a really long time; I can't imagine trying to do an entire wall this way!

Here's a lighted miniature WDW HM replica that I bought on either Ebay or Amazon (don't recall now). It's about 6" tall and 10" wide. It's on my TV cabinet, on a timer so that it comes on a few hours a day. Front and back views.

Hey gang,

I just wanted to share a resource I recently found for the corridor of doors wallpaper.

http://www.designyourwall.com/store/Freaky-eyes-custom-digital-wallpaper-pr-120.html

I ordered a sample and I have to say, it's nearly dead on. It's probably the most accurate version you'll find in wallpaper. The texture of the purple background is great, the faces are dead on. Really amazing to see in person.

The downside is that they have a minimum order of 30 sq. feet and each sq. foot is $6.50...so just to cover the minimum, you're looking it almost $200. The other downside is that it comes is rolls that are 54" wide, but only 36" of that is actual pattern. So the wallpaper has to be trimmed down before you can install.

Personally, I would do it in a heartbeat (if money and time weren't an issue) but for now, the $6.50 I spent for a sample is well worth the enjoyment I'm getting out of seeing it in my office.

On a side note, I'm going to be selling my bat stanchion and wanted to give you guys first dibs on it. It's one of Ana's castings that I got unpainted and have painted myself. I'll post pictures once I'm done touching it up. I'm thinking of asking $125 +s/h. I paid $150 +s/h. So if anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Oh, I also wanted to share a new addition to my collection...

I have two doors in my office that I'm going to try and convert into replicas of the doors in the "corridor of doors" and Ana happened to have these items, so I immediately jumped on them.

What I found out in the process was that she gets her castings from someone else named Sporak who is a contributor over at the replica props forum (therpf.com). His prices are higher than hers, but I think he may have better copies. I'm not 100% on that, but if she's making copies from his copies it would explain why they're not priced as high.

Anyhow, these door plates and handles are awesome and hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to make them into working door handles. I'll keep you all posted.

Has anyone bought one of the organ banshee faces from Ana on ebay that Dminor mentioned above (e.g, here)? It's a long-term goal of mine to recreate one of the (nearly) late, lamented blast-up ghosts from the HM attic, but I'm concerned about the weight of the replicas, especially since there are some modifications I'd like to try that would require them to be even lighter than the originals. It looks like the ones she's been selling recently are fiberglass, rather than resin, so that would obviously affect the weight question. Also, how's the mold quality? Worst case, I might buy one and use it as a positive to make my own mold for paper mache, or something similar. Unless Dminor wants to use his mold to go into the replicas business :D.
