Days. Still have to try and do the lighting tonight. Today we did the fences. We still need to put up trees and animatronics. Plus, there is stuff that doesn't go up until the Big Night.

I remember you posting about making your fence columns a few years ago, SLCGirl. They still look great!

 

Thank you. C'mon everyone - I want to see what you have up.

 

Give me a few more days. Happy to get a few things out today, which is a good couple of weeks earlier than previous years. Going to go hard the next couple. Evidence incoming.

 

We're starting this weekend! Have to do a little yard work before we can decorate. Wish the grass would go ahead and go dormant.

 

I always waited for that. This year someone told me to cut it short and turn off the sprinklers to get it to go dormant faster, then put down the winter fertilizer when you take up the decorations. I am very eager to get going so I am trying that this year. I'm not sure how much the rain is helping with that effort.

I still need to bring out the shack & coffin and approximately 7352 more critter skeletons and 472 human skeletons and of course the lights….

I have 2 that I missed plugging in. I'll eventually get that.

And I thought I had a pic of all the headstones out - but I guess not. So here's the fence and a small spattering of critters

Hank the Haint looks awesome. Saw his brother at a local home and was really impressed at the way the tattered threads waved in the breeze. Super spooky!

I put mine up last weekend - it got up to 90 degrees (which is so abnormal for Illinois) so what normally takes one day took two. I still have to put out the tubes for the fog machine in the cemetery scene.

But here is a link to my Google Photo album of the pictures with a two-minute video walk-by - there is a small flickering light warning with one tree at the beginning of the video if that causes problems.

 

Love it! The fogger really brings it all together.

Love it! Especially how you crafted a whole scene around your giant skeleton ground-breaker. Most people (myself included) just stick it out there on it's lonesome.

I’m finally getting started. Only the fence is up at the moment. The bulk of stuff doesn’t go out until the morning on the 31st due to New England’s weather.
