I tried to find a 2023 thread so tell me if there is one. The Forest Figure is back! She was $549, now $599 plus $50 oversize shipping. Anyone know of applicable coupons?
I have wanted a gate like that forever - Pier 1 before its demise had one and I thought THAT was expensive. I spend more money on 'fake' construction for Halloween than a real house.
Why didn't GR have it match their fence?I have wanted a gate like that forever - Pier 1 before its demise had one and I thought THAT was expensive. I spend more money on 'fake' construction for Halloween than a real house.
I don’t know about At Home, but Big Lots definitely did.I wanna say that At Home had a similar gate last year that was cheaper but not positive.
The animated skeleton is the same one sold at Best Buy for the last two years, and Joann last year. I know a few of us got them for under $200. Its not something I would have expected GR to pick up.Wait, they've opened new Halloween Haven already? Nevermind, I see it's a sneak peek.
That animated skeleton looks awful. So far not much there I'd want.
I don't understand the prices of the gate. For $599, I could buy an actual gate/arbor and modify it to be unique to my haunt.I have wanted a gate like that forever - Pier 1 before its demise had one and I thought THAT was expensive. I cannot remember, but last year did they start a day or two earlier than the date posted on the email?Grandin Road now seems to have a date when their full collection will go live. They just sent me an email saying it was going to be July 6, 2023!

You're probably rightI cannot remember, but last year did they start a day or two earlier than the date posted on the email?
thank you! I am buying that $123 one. I can find metal bats and crows and such, easy. I am curious, though, the price on the Lowe's one (i wasn't sure if it was their store display set up). I am no electrician so I cannot achieve any lamppost type mods.I don't understand the prices of the gate. For $599, I could buy an actual gate/arbor and modify it to be unique to my haunt.
I mean here's an example of a detailed gate from Home Depot for $485 that wouldn't take too much effort to make Halloweeny: Litton Lane Black Metal Traditional Garden Arbor 94 in. x 78 in. 29014 - The Home Depot
And a cheaper one arch/arbor one that is a special buy right now for $123 that would give lots of budget to modify:

This Outsunny garden arbor provides a unique charm in your garden with its smooth lines and delicate patterns. The grid brackets of the pillars on both sides of the garden arch are very suitable vines,www.homedepot.com
This is great!I had the same thought. I just ended up printing a bunch of faces and then stuffed them in the wisteria vines on the pergola.. it wasn't as good as the Grandin Road version but well enough for background.

Yes! This is exactly my thought! I imagine one could even find some great actually antique architectural salvage gates for that price. Or pay a fellow haunted/prop-maker to make one. I think the Grandin Road one looks cool, but for like $150. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a prop that I think is this anbsurdly overpriced.I don't understand the prices of the gate.
