Frightman…..love the use of the Jack O’ Lantern but some constructive criticism.
Why not just use a female adapter to bridge the power adapter to the lcd eye kit? Instead of cutting both connector ends and striping back wire. That way you can use that adapter or the lcd eye kit for something else if you need to down the line.

You are active in the 2024 Home Depot Halloween forum so I’m sure you’ve come across postings promoting it’s easy of use.

 

Thanks! If that has been posted, I have actually missed it and it never even occurred to me for whatever reason to use a connector. But I'm okay with what I did. I already had everything for this project in my garage. I didn't buy anything for it. So I guess the bright side is I didn't spend money on the connector. 😁

I posted its use when I posted how to power the Scary Skelly head on its own without going thru the torso/hip parts. It’s in the 2024 Home Depot Halloween section. It’s a very simple and effective way to bridge two male end connectors. No need to be cutting, splicing or soldering wires. The plus side you keep your power adapter and LCD eye kit intact.

 

I was looking for videos of this hack and everybody was doing it the complicated way with cutting the wires, so it was not just you! Now with the adapter, it's a different story for me.

 

I buy Digieye masks and pull the eyes out to reuse them.
