That is great. If you have not seen it yet the chalice is incredible and you certainly will not be disappointed. It is weird how contradictory their e-mail was, making it seem like all Halloween, then going on to stress that it is fragrances, when it actually is the first; the marketing team needs to get their act together.
Yep, I saw it at my local store right around launch and loved it ....but no way was j paying $40 for it lol. $20 is much more reasonable.
If you are referring to the large haunted castle, I did not even see it listed today; that sucker must have been one of the very first to go. The carriage is apparently the most elusive of this year's items, though, since it has seemingly never been available beyond the first day.
I completely agree that the current prices are far more in line with what they should cost. I bought the majority of the items that I wanted at launch, not knowing what to expect, then some others at 25% off. Oh well. Live and learn...
I'm glad that you managed to track down the candle. I was told, at the start, that the carriage water globe was going to be coming back into stock online at some point by a manager, who already had a long wait list for when the store was supposed to be receiving a handful more (whether they actually returned or not, I have no clue). Bath and Body Works really underproduced the piece.
They sure did, one associate in the first store I visited said they have had so many calls about the carriage. She said they flew out within the first few hours the store was open. I would have thought there would be a restock, but with that 50% off sale yesterday I doubt it.
I was interested in the creepy carriage candle holder, but it never seemed to be available for purchase on-line. I think they dropped the ball with that piece.
There are two stores nearby. One is in a mall, so I knew not to even bother going there on launch day. I stopped at the B&BW in a plaza and inquired there, with the manager stating that they had received three of the carriage and that they had sold out in the first half hour, plus they confirmed my initial thought that the mall store's stock was also long gone. It is crazy how so many other incredible items lingered long enough to be purchased at half price, while a single product almost immediately became the equivalent of the Holy Grail.
That seems to be the consensus. Supply certainly did not match with demand.
I think some people did. That piece was also hard to come by. Don't know why they have so much some accessories and not enough of others. I don't know if that snake piece was ever sold online, I did see it briefly in store.
