Are they complex or are they just color organ-type units, like the old Talking Boris skulls? ...that determine how far to open the mouth based on the signal's amplitude (volume)?

 

I'm not sure. The only thing I could find is a small board that controls she speaker and when the mouth servo.

 

I'm thinking maybe I should just get another board, if I can find out where the thing was made.
