I feel like this is my first "OFFICIAL" Halloween purchase of the year & I'm practically giddy from it!!

 

Oh my. I am going to need those Vac Forms.

This feels early for Target. I really like the Lewis blow mold.

 

It seems early to me too. I am assuming it may have to do with tariffs and some seasonal pieces were front loaded ahead of time, and rather than taking up valuable storage space for another two months, Target decided to release it for sale early. My Halloween purchases from Target last year were in mid July and that was the first day of the drop.

I collect the little bird figurines and was really surprised when the Halloween ones suddenly popped up for sale last night.

 

I got my 2 vacuforms today & they're lovely! They were shipped in plastic bags which wasn't cool, but they're not cracked or scratched, they're fully intact. The blowmolds should be here tomorrow!

The vacuforms started in Trenton, NJ, then to Fairless Hills, PA, then to me in MD today. The blow molds were out of Barrington, NJ, then to Edison, NJ, then to Hagerstown, MD then hopefully to me tomorrow.

I find it a crazy roundabout way to go past me from Edison NJ to Hagerstown, MD instead of just coming right to Gaithersburg, but whatever.

 

The blowmolds should be here tomorrow!

When you get your blowmolds, will you post them lit up? I really like Lewis, but the one other blowmold I have that's made of black plastic, you can barely see the light shining thru it. I'm wondering since this is battery op that maybe it's got a brighter light?

 

My Vacu Forms should be here today. 🤞

I stood them up in the box they came in to get the lit shots so they're not great but it's a good idea of how they'll look in the dark & yes, only the orange face & hands are really lit on Lewis & the green bits on the witch & this is just with the tester button too.

They flickered a bit but I'm not so sure that may not have been just the tester button not working properly or maybe I didn't hold it down correctly.

Lewis lit up.

The witch lit up. She brighter than I expected honestly.

IMHO the ghost looks the best but I kinda figured it would since it's all white.

Here are mine. The nose on my witch came with a scrap 😞. I already have a return and exchange for her. They do look very nice.
The witch vac form is amazing. It’s larger than I thought, and the colors really pop especially with a little back light behind it.

 

Huh, blowmold Lewis has only 4 fingers while original Lewis has 5. Why the change?

Very nice solid feeling plastic. I'll need to use some packing foam to diffuse her heart. The LEDs are just too sharp. Her cheeks are bulb style LEDs so they're fine. You'll have to move her shroud to get the cheeks to line up correctly, this was just how she was out of the bag. Her clothing material itself is halloween costume 4-way stretch fabric along with soft tulle.

The alien's fabric is also nice organza.

His glow is pretty weak. His helmet's LEDs are what light up his face. They too could use some improvement.

 

His helmet is removeable but obviously he won't glow without it.

I need to exchange mine because I thought I was posing him wrong but his helmet's top hole for the string was punched off center so it always sits crooked.

 

Blowmold Lewis has 4 fingers but the Alien had a full set of digits. Go figure!…. 😱😱😱

 

My Vac Forms arrived yesterday. All 3 were in their own bags. The only issue was the witch had a bend in the top loop, which easily went back straight.

 

I was surprised on how badly they packaged my witch vac form, and even more astonished the vac form wasn’t cracked, bent or a total mess. They really need to update the shipping package and put these in a cardboard box.

 

I have been enjoying the photos of the back forms… I have these retro masks from Spirit Halloween that I always bought at their 50% off sale. I’m not sure if I want to replace them with a new vac forms. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here is a photo of the masks on display. They stay on display around.

 

Those are more mask like unlike the Target ones which are more for wall decor as non mask. The Spirit ones look great but the Target ones appear to be more translucent and can give off a nice flair of color if they are lightly backlighted from behind. I do like the vintage look of the Spirit ones.

 

Why not both?

 

Space concerns… I am running out of wall space now.🥴

 

I am not sure how the Target vac forms would go with the Spirit masks… I feel while they’re retro they’re two different styles. So I feel like my options are to take down the Spirit masks or my other option would be a totally different wall space for the vac forms. That I really don’t have. But then again for $10 apiece. I’m not sure I can go wrong.

This is the retro/vintage hallway we do every year. It has a lot of those Spirit masks as well as the Vac Forms. Plus, obviously, a lot of other stuff.

Can someone tell me how many vac forms Target released last year? Are the 3 that are available the only ones for this year?

The nice thing about the vacuforms is they're $10 each & the blow molds are $20 each, you don't need to buy them all, so it doesn't feel like a full on splurge.

Plus it's early enough that if you spend $90-$100 on them now it's not too hard to build that back up in the next month or 2.

Yet people are already selling the news stuff on the resale sites.

Seeing Lewis on there was what me search for him elsewhere because I knew he wasn't around last year.

 

Oh wow, I usually don't start looking at Target until July and it's still May and I'm making an order. My girlfriend will kill me if she finds out.

 

Here’s a picture of the 5 from last year and how they look with the new 3. The skulls are very similar. I know one of them I only found in the store. I think it was the spider but I don’t remember.

Ok so the top 5 are from last year. I love the cat and the winged bat. So we might see some additional vac forms based on the number they had last year. I’d love to see a vampire one.

 

Thank you so much SLCGirl for the photos and your video. They have really helped me make my decision on getting the two back forms from target and looking for older ones.. I will also be keeping a lookout for any new releases.

As I look at all those vacuforms together I wonder why I can't collect smaller things instead of giant Halloween stuff? I mean I do collect Pez but only the holiday ones now but still, I wish I collected small Halloween things instead of big, hard to store, OBVIOUS, Halloween things.

I say obvious because there's no real way for me to hide those suckers from my husband ight now!!
