By February all the decals have nearly washed off. Customer support send me an egift card of their value after I emailed them photos of the decals barely there and they emailed me a prepaid label to mail back the defective glasses. Since it was past the return window the manager had to approve the return since a defect like this takes time to occur. I also told them that I have no idea what chemical was used to make the decal but for them to send it higher up b/c people with little kids may be ingesting some kind of hazardous material from it coming off since clearly it is NOT dishwasher safe so someone somewhere cut corners.

 

I bought this door mat (along with 2heart mugs)… shipping to my door was only $7 which I though was cheap.

 

I really wanted and missed out on the haunted tree candelabra last year and then the resellers started jacking up the prices like crazy so that will be an immediate purchase for me.

That ghost candybowl is so cute! I mean, not $159 cute, but still...

 

I'm not a huge cat lover but that peek a boo cat pillow is pretty darn cute....( and of course expensive!)

 

If you can wait until a week or so before Halloween, almost all of the items will go on sale. I got those fun themed throw pillows for like $40 or something. Still not cheap, but much more reasonable.

EDIT: The skeleton drinkware and the scary squad stoneware also went on sale earlier, iirc.

 

Okay so I got the eGift Card for those spooky tumblers that weren't dishwasher safe. A month later I find something I want to buy. I go to my email to access my eGift card and I get this error message

Call customer service. They had me troubleshoot different ways to log in to trigger it to show. No go. They offered to cancel this gift card and send me a physical one in the mail (may take up to 2 weeks to arrive). I said sure, fine. 3 days pass. I get an email with a new eGift card.... it once again gives me an error message. So CS never send out a physical card, they just reissued the digital one instead....ugh...now I have to call them again.

Anyway, wanted to vent and to give folks a heads up to not count on refunds coming in time to catch a spooky sale if you're in a similar situation but during peak season.

 

Pottery Barn has some new spooky season additions on their website, I’m assuming this will be the whole lineup for this season. I’m going to go ahead and pull the trigger on the skeleton candle holder and the mini black terracotta pumpkin, but I also have my eye on some other things. I love the pumpkin head skeleton pillow and the light up haunted house pillow. I am drawn to seasonal decorative pillows like a moth to a flame and certainly don’t need more but those are tempting me.

I also love the ghost dog candy bowl, very cute.

I also love that PB & co allow Affirm but a weird version. They always offer a Pay in 3 with the first payment due a month later rather than immediately during the order like Paypal and Klarna. Or like Affirm on other websites like Poshmark, which also does the classic 4 with the first payment due immediately.

 

Terrain had a few new things this morning including some spooky Concordville pieces, not sure if what’s on the website is all that’s coming out this year but I absolutely LOVE the new building, Salem Half House. It’s back ordered until September so I’m going to purchase now and keep checking to see if there is a sale price in between now and then for a price adjustment and if it sells out before then at least I won’t miss out on it. It seems like one of those unique pieces that might sell out.

Good lord that's expensive for something that's only a foot tall. Then again, it looks like these are made of iron and not the chintzy cardboard or plastic that the other ones are made out of. Big fan of the victorian style one in this collection.

 

One taper and the decorative box came with defects in the clay (unclean surface before glazing leaving lumps). Ugh, have to contact CS on monday for them to initiate and exchange.

I still haven't gotten my gift card either.

This arrived yesterday and I it! I actually ordered the single candle witch first then ordered this one the next day due to FOMO I am glad I did! This candle holder is a good size I put a large pillar next to it for comparison ( lol if your like me and usually don't pay attention to dimensions)

 

It’s wonderful! Mine is back ordered until the end of July (I also ordered the two candle one) but my skeleton candle holder from the same order is coming today. It was certainly more than I planned on spending for candle holders but they both looked really neat and 99% of the time I’ve been happy with my seasonal decor purchases from PB.

 

What are those witches made of, resin or something else? They look cast iron.

It looks like the witch taper holders sold out. Does anyone know if Pottery Barn typically restocks?

Kicking myself for not buying them when I first saw them... That's what 'controlling my spending' gets me.

 

I asked the customer service person about the witch candle holders after PB messed up my order and she said unfortunately they weren’t going to restock or be in the stores. I’ve been checking daily to see if the double one randomly restocks but so far no luck.

 

Both Pottery Barn and Grandin Road orders arrived. Contrary to the contents listed on my email, I received my correct order - one of each of the witch candle holders.

 

I’m glad yours were correct, I really love the double one so hopefully I can find one at some point. I like the single one too but it was annoying to spend that much, especially with their way expensive shipping on top of that and not get exactly what I wanted.

They have a new plate design this year

I got two dinner plates last year and one chipped like two months later. They are ceramic but feel light weight compared to other plates I own. Anytime a spooky plates gets damaged it goes out of rotation and onto a plate hanger to become wall art.
