Some new prop images have appeared on the decorating fanatics facebook page. So far a 12 foot vampire, 10 foot scarecrow, 10 foot spider archway, jumpscare ghoul, 6 foot groundbreaker, bluetooth DJ skeleton, 7 foot werewolf, plague doctor, balloon animal clown, cauldron witch, giant skull groundbreaker, and a new Emily/Victor set.

Personally i think the clown, wolf and the witch are the best. The vampires not bad but i’d like to see him in person first. Emily and Victor are such an odd choice considering the Spirit set from last year is basically perfect. Spider archway is cool too but build quality is probably going to be spotty. Hopefully the band members return along with the bone collector as I think those were the best from last seasons line up.

The ones that have me intrigued:
The spider- is this 10ft tall or wide? if tall, does that mean we can walk under it? now that sounds cool.
the corpse bride characters- will this be better than spirit? they seems like good quality but have to see their animation.
skeleton ground breaker- saw this trend coming, seems good but have to see it in person. i feel like not having arms is going to make it look bad.
12ft vampire- idk, for me it seems like a cheap knockoff to last years model, just a quick reskin. Have to see this in person.

The spider is the one that interests me. That has the look of this year's $600 Lowe's prop. It does look like it's 10ft tall based on the photo and the long legs. It almost looks like it might be meant to be used as an archway. Regardless, I would probably use it as an archway if tall enough. That has the potential to be very cool if people have to walk under it provided the quality is good and it can handle the wind.

I agree on Victor and Emily. Why? SoH had them last year. I don’t see how tall they might be? Could they be giants? Emily does look a bit better from these early pics compared to what we had last year. Maybe they will offer mouth movement.

The ground breaker is a big let down. The 10ft spider and the jump scare are interesting. I was hoping for a Vampire but I’m not trilled about the look of it. Maybe when better pictures are available my outlook might change.

A few more animatronic names have surfaced: 12 ft infernal harbinger, 9 ft poisonous pumpkin, 7 ft cotton candy clown, 5.5 ft eye scream clown, 8 ft cornfield creeper, 4 ft burlap scarecrow clown, life size Stay-Puft, life size Slimer, servo cyclops, lunging giant spider, sharpshooter reaper, pop up goblin, impending doom countdown.

Unless I am thinking of someone else, I believe the person who created these screenshots (Decorating Fanatics) is known for either completely making things up or sometimes being completely wrong, the reason I mention it is because wouldn't a life sized Stay Puft marshmallow man be about 100 - 112 feet tall? So I assume, if it actually exists, it will probably be 5-6 feet tall, and with Lowes pricing will probably be around $400+ like Joseph whatever his name is from Wednesday.

In addition to these I’d imagine some of last years props will also return, so this could be Lowe’s’ biggest year yet, I was hoping for updated band reapers and more of the Haunted Harbor collection but we shall see. With photos out this early I imagine the managers meeting will be held earlier than last year and we’ll see better pictures soon.

I like the Emily and Victor myself but I hope they aren’t giants, I’m a bit over the giant thing personally, but mainly because I don’t have endless storage.

I love the Plague Doctor’s dress but I think they could have done something else as far as the final creation and all black would have looked better IMO. The plague doctor mask looks like an after thought, especially since the dress looks Edwardian/Victorian. This outfit could have lended itself to being part of a cool looking historically dressed female vampire or something.

With the managers meeting around the corner next month they are up against a tight schedule so seems logical that they would leak things a bit earlier this year.

Halloween Costumes had Slimer this past year and wasn’t there a Puft marshmallow inflatable out there also. I agree they probably want to stay away from referring it to life size, but I think the Ghostbusters stuff is going to materialize. Heck, they came out with Bumbles so all the manufacturer would have to do is redo the face and hands and plumb him up more. I think that’s exactly what they are planning on doing…………unless they mean inflatables 😭 oh the horror 😭

BTW anyone noticed they are a couple of Elvira Mistress of the Dark items out there. I’d give my right pinky if someone would come out with an animatronic of her. I grew up in SoCal and she was the queen of late horror here in the 80’s.

If last year is any indication for what they will do this year, you need to buy the popular props from Lowe's in June when they are released online and not wait for store availability. In 2024, they had most of the props displayed in the store by the middle of August. However, the inventory, besides the display model, for the animatronics and larger props was basically non existent in the stores around me for anything half decent. They seem to want to carry less inventory in the store and push you online. Not a problem if it's actually in stock online. Hopefully, the spider won't have the Kraken paint peeling issue.
