Distortions just released Goblin Legend …. I am having a hard time pasting their link so I hope this works. A great guy to keep up all year long as a door greeter IMO.

 

They are really turning out a lot of new items lately. He's very, very cool.

Everything they've released so far this year looks amazing. I really like the Goblin Legend, but you've got to have the right theme for him to fit into and I just don't have it. But the Demon Legend, so hard keeping my wallet shut for that guy.

 

Best advice when ordering is always order several months in advance from them. Ordered my prop 3.5 months ago . Still isn’t here , no updates . I’d advise ordering 5+ months in advance if you want things to be ready for start of October .

 

Clearly I love Distortions. I don't love the giant price increase that happened yesterday. I was holding off on the goblin until I saw it in some Transworld videos. It went from $659 to $728. Even the normal legends props, like the pumpkin witch and monster legend are $648 now.

 

Yikes! It is getting tougher and tougher for me to stay a customer of theirs. I love the stuff, absolutely love it. I’m sure they have valid reason reasons, for instance the cost of shipping, but soon they will be out of my price range.

 

 

It's pretty much out of my range now, with the Canadian dollar falling, shipping costs and Distortions raising their prices by so much. I bought the Pumpkin Witch last year at this time for $790 CAD and it's almost 20% more, so $939. Then shipping was another $100 USD and that's probably more this year. So last year's model prop is over $1,000. The only "good" thing was it was duty free, but who knows if that will change with a retaliatory trade war.

 

I snagged the mummy when it released for 639. My jaw dropped when I seen 728! I'm glad I didn't wait.

 

My Halloween budget is not what it used to be in the years before so I have waited on ordering from Distortions until I saw the full line of both Distortions and Home Depot. I have to be extremely picky in what I purchased this year, I also have not only budget constraints but storage constraints, so I wanted to see what everybody was going to have available for Halloween before making a substantial purchase. I made the conscious decision to forgo getting the new release price to make sure that I wouldn’t be sad if I missed out on something else. A calculated risk but an expensive decision.

 

I struggled with the quality of some of the home depot stuff last year so I've decided to spend the distortions prices to have something that 1) nobody else in my town will have and 2) something that I consider to be an investment piece. That being said, $100 jump in price overnight is jarring. I still think Home Depot's headstones are the absolute best value of any place so they will get my money for those, hands down.

 

It seems all the new Distortions props, at least the ones that will be ready for Tran world 2025 are up on their website

Is the show well attended? I’ve been looking at videos and it doesn’t seem like it was as crowded as years passed. Are people mostly browsing or are there purchases? Thank you very much for the posting of photos. I tried to post this as a reply to @Spinechiller but I wasn’t able to for whatever reason. It’s probably me. But again thank you very much for the photos.

 

The show seems fairly well attended. Appears to be quieter than last year. Some vendors are always busy though

 

Thanks for sharing those pictures. I was originally excited to see Goblin, but I think Electrocuted Zombie is my new favorite. Given what the prices are for other things an animatronic that comes with an amp, a controller, and shaking movement for $850 seems good. Shipping is free too apparently.

 

 

 

Can you see browns/purples on the goblin? Every video it's washed out bc of the stupid green light on it.

Well, I caved and bought the electrocuted zombie. $848 is a heck of a lot on single prop but when you consider the huge price jump recently of the static props it was a little easier to bear. The shipping was free which helped with the decision too. I imagine the price on the zombie will go up sooner rather than later.

 

That goblin is so cool! I like the demon/devil, also.
