Haunted Mansion Holiday - Exterior Candles

There is some awesome stuff in this thread.

I'm tackling a project to recreate the fake candles you see lining the exterior railing on the house during the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. I am specifically after the flicker tip itself (below). Does anyone know how to do this exactly? I want to build it cheaper than $50 which is what this thing costs.

I want to recreate this:

Yes... Exactly as Savage said..> Thanks Savage.. you are simply cutting the foam away so that it has a shelf that you can set the votive on. Leaving only the flicker part of the t-light showing. I have found that cutting styrofoam is easiest with a Hot foam cutter. found at Michael Craft or ebay. You can also use a razor cutter Make sure that you cut the foam down and fooling with it till it is level. Cheers Joel

Here are some more neat HM paper crafts, I know its a little off subject from this forum but they will make a neat addition to your in house Halloween displays.

You can search the site, there are other HM projects on different pages too such as the Demon clock. I am going to think about it and see if I can't figure out a way to make a wood clock using the patterns. Might be fun to try! :)

FYI The voice for Madame Leota is the same as Malleficent from "Sleeping Beauty" and Lady Tremaine from "Cinderella". Her name was Eleanor Audley. She was an actress that did voice work for Disney. She also did episodes for I love lucy, Dick Van **** show, Perry Mason, Beverly Hillbillies, and Green Acers.

This is a pic of her as Maleficent at a production meeting for the Disney animators. She would pose and posture while reciting script lines. One animator
said that : " The look that they got for Maleficent was 10% the costume and 90% Audley's voice."
