Just carefully cut that tab off where the screw is. The screw really isn't needed, the snap tab will hold the cover in place.

 

Heat up a knife blade, melt through the tab that holds the screw, throw away.

 

That’s the worse!! I’ve tried all sorts of methods but for delecate stuff that you can’t pound into I’ve used a dremel. Cut a notch to then use a flat head.

 

I usually use a dremel to cut through the screw.

If you are looking for a less destructive method, Maybe use some jbweld. Attach part of the jbweld to the screw a piece of metal. Once it hardens, turn the handle and the screw might come out with it. I have not done this but it might work.
