Kermit2024, you are a class act for sharing where it came from. We had an issue with people taking pics from members here, yes, I was one of the ones it happened to several times. They watermarked them and took credit as their own in some Facebook groups. Reposting them was fine and nobody cared about that, watermarking them was not cool. Well done!!

The Animated Ghostly Skeleton is definitely on my watch list. The price looks decent for what you appear to get. My only concern is the wind if displayed outside. I can't tell how it is anchored or how it would need to be tethered from the stock photo.

 

In a lite wind/breeze this thing is going to look awesome. That ghost cloth is going to be moving and swirling nicely. I’m thinking this might be the sleeper prop of 2025.
It’s got good dimensions to it and not overly large. Put some bricks 🧱 on the base and run a couple of tethers with S hooks to the waist structure if you are concern with wind. I don’t think they will be needed. I do think if you get strong winds that ghost cloth will tear. For $180, I don’t think that material is going to be quality material but we will see. I really do like the prop. Could be a focal prop in a cemetery scene. 🎬

 

They do let you cancel whenever and prorate the refund. Downside is that you can't apply again for another year. Upside is that if you are married or have a kiddo over 18 just have them make one the next year. Then the year after you make one again.
That was the technique my family did at our old house for our internet provider since they would increase the rate $40 after the "year introduction" rate.

Reg membership doesn't have free shipping. Plus membership has free shipping over $50.

So if you do Plus, you aren't out $110 fully, just ~$9/month for however many months you want it. Which is just about the same price at Amazon Prime student membership (which for some reason Amazon offered to me so I'm not looking a gifthorse in the mouth).

That's my plan going forward. I live within 10 minutes of TWO Costco's so I obviously have a year-round membership but the Sam's Club is over an hour drive away. There used to be one within 10 min but they closed and became and At Home lmao. So it's not worth me having a year-round membership at Sam's.

 

Saw on FB this morning from someone’s Costco in Australia. I’d imagine we get him in the US this year. Price equals roughly $260 which seems fair given the digi eye upgrade. Sounds like the rumor that Costco canceled their lineup is a bunch of BS.

 

The ghostly skeleton went from $179 yesterday to $199 today.

I do like the ghostly tombstone. Not sure if I like it enough to pull the trigger, though. It's one of those props that seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to DIY instead, if you could get the balance right. I'm interested to see how it assembles.

 

Cartoonish, but looks like a quality prop. The eye animation is interesting. Very whimsical.

I saw a video on YouTube about a violin skelly being at Sam’s I know at home is to have one does anybody know if the one at Sam’s is true?

 

Yes it’s real. The At Home one is garbage in my opinion with latex hands that appear to have rheumatoid artritis. They look all twisted around the violin and the way it sits looks awkward. The Sam’s Club are hard plastic, and appear to correctly be shape for playing the violin. The audio is a bit corny. It would have been better if it just played the violin but it’s overall a better prop.

 

I'm totally vibing with a reaper that's wearing a pants suit.
