Old props should sell for same or less price of prior year

Can you lets us know if the paint job has been fixed? I’m trying not to give in since there are other props on my list for this season. Last year this was one of my must buys, but the reviews convinced me to skip it.

The new 2025 version of the Kraken features parts molded out of dark purple plastic, instead of being molded white then painted afterwards. I didn’t purchase him last season, and the $300 is too high in my opinion, but he’d be pretty tempting if his price drops.

Have you see what old Gemmy animatronic props are going for now? I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but the older and rarer they become the more expensive they are. This one has a long way to go but have you seen how much some of the 60’s and 70’s vintage blow molds can fetch? 😳

I bought him… I had a chance last year to buy him three times each time I said no and regretted it. I will have to drop one of my Home Depot purchases for him, but I decided I did not want to wait. I think he’s fantastic and I will keep him up all year long in my house. He greets me as I walk down my hallway into the kitchen. One of the photos is very early this morning, so it’s a bit darker.

Yes, non-white plastic….the stakes are metal and tubular. My guy came well packed and I was happy with the quality. You can always debate price till the cows come home! Lol, however, I’m very happy with this guy and I will have no problem picking him over one of the Home Depot props for 2025 that I was going to buy.

I like it a lot. Looks like it’s well built and all dark plastic mold. Thank you for posting pictures of it. My Sea Diver is lonely and this might do the job.

Not on Halloween decorations. Most were exempt under the festive classification of the hts code.

I’m surprised how much I like the Kraken. And as I mentioned, Lowe’s refunded me the difference in price when I purchased him and the price that they lowered it to. I am hoping to get the Home Depot zombie shark and they’re just going to look fantastic together (I hope)!
