I have the dog and cat ghosts in my cart and I like the light up witch dog as well but it’s on the expensive side IMO. These things tend to sell out so though sometimes you don’t get a lot of time to decide 😬

 

I know. I’ll probably end up getting the witch and the ghost cat so that I get free shipping. I spend a lot of extra money to get free shipping!

 

I get that they want to make the presentation all eerie and spooky and all but if it is a dark item, how about at least one picture with a light background where you can actually see it? The witch and the ghost you can mostly see but the cat blends into the background and its hard to make out details and it actually looks like a cool piece. And this is coming from someone that is a dog person ha ha!

Also, every holiday gets a lab or golden. Come on retailers, where are my German shepherd people?

That was my thought on the Invisible Witch. Wow, you really can't see her since it's so dark.

Can you let us know if the black and white on them match the same hue as on the witches? So like each witch gets her own pet just like her.

I guess I goofed. I thought the animated witch was resin. It’s more like an animatronic. I don’t know if I like that as I already have too many animatronics

 

According to Cracker Barrel’s delivery update I’m to get my black ghost cat tomorrow. And when I do, I have my resin black ghost and black witch still out so I can take pictures and I will post those. I also got the animated witch, I did not think she was resin so I will post photos of thst prop also when I take her out because the photos that Cracker Barrel had were just too dark.

My witch and ghost cat finally arrived late today. I want to apologize if the lighting is not good nor the background is not great. I just wanted to get this out to people. This is to do with the witch. I am pleasantly surprised, and this is because her price tag is $99, with this witch. She is simple but effective. I do like her sound effects and her lighting. I thought when I first got her I was just going to go ahead and either turn down the side effects or clip that wire altogether, but in the end, I did not need to do that, I like it!. I’ve included several photos and I want to say the left side of her cape has wire going through it so you can adjust it however you want. I would buy her again at $99. I can see there are some glitches… I will start again

My Cracker Barrel Witch

 

My ghost cat with 3ft witch and ghost and original size of the ghost (and witch). I hope you can see the color.

 

Her design is so clever. Wish the stitching on the hat's underside was cleaner since it's so lit up by the LED. If my store ends up still having any during clearance I'd get her but I don't really do witches much so she'd be low priority on the budget list. I can imagine this would be great for other themes like a scarecrow standing next to a corn stalk but there's only a farmer's straw hat floating.

I have witches, but they really are not a big part of my Halloween display. I thought this particular witch from Cracker Barrel would be children friendly and I could place her next to my candy. I do think she pushes the limit at $99 though but I’m not going to return her.

 

The cat looks larger than I expected. It's very cool and totally goes with the witch but something about it makes me think of Batman ha ha.

 

I had decided to purchase another one of the ghost cats however they are now sold out. At least for the time being.

speaking of the resin props, my witch has a chip (the large witch and a 1/4 inch near her skirt where she is hollow). What can I repair that with?

 

I've had good luck with epoxy clay, specifically Milliput. It comes in different colors including black and was originally made to repair ceramics. Cheapish at my local craft store and probably on Amazon. The finish might be slightly different but you might be able to get it to match somehow.

 

I don’t check Cracker Barrel regularly, but I had thought the ghost dog was out of stock at one point, but is available to order.

Me too. It’s really cute but yeah that price, ouch, I’ll watch and see if it goes on sale at all, if it sells out so be it. I’m still waiting to see what’s new from some other retailers before I go too crazy on my Halloween budget just yet.

The eyeball bouquet is cute, reminds me of the Ghoulish Garden pieces I have from Target. I have that, the animated candle and the ghost dog sitting in my cart.

I like that tree carrying the pumpkin too but it’s not as large as it seemed once I looked at the dimensions so I’m debating on that.

 

Dear Cracker Barrel, for the love of all that is spooky, please, STOP putting dark items on dark backgrounds in the pictures. You can not even see the product. 😭

Also, what on earth is with the plush black bat duck? Wait… hold on, I forgot I have the little black bat rubber duck from Target. Oops, I retract the question.. um, so, let’s move on.

The plush bat that folds his wings over is back again although last year they had a brown and black one. I don’t even buy plushes but got the black one last year. Y’all, he is big, squishy, super soft and fabulous! Don’t miss out on him!

 

I placed an order for Animated Haunted House with Projection and the ghost dog (took me over enough to get free shipping).
We'll see how up to snuff the house is since last year's house was $40 (I did not get that one as it was missing something for my heart to go pitter patter).
So like, is this house with animation worth the extra $30?

but I'm holding off until the ghost cat restocks so I can get another cartful of stuff to just barely go over enough to get free shipping. Since there are free returns to store, I don't want to waste money on shipping if it means I'm on the fence. And unlike TJX I don't like doing cart fillers because it's always an entire production to do a return b/c there's a hundred senior citizens checking out their meal and the cashier's first day on the job (even though there are instructions for the cashier on the back of the packing label they still can't figure it out). Absolutely agony trying to return anything to Cracker Barrel. ((And mailing it back is just as frustrating. Took a month for it to eventually be refunded.))

Couldn't take it anymore so I contacted Cracker Barrel online and sent the following:

"Your Halloween collection is always great and my friends and I can't wait to look online, as well as, come in and shop as soon as it gets on the floor every year but have a suggestion. The spooky vibe in the pictures online are cool but on dark items, you can barely see the product. It would be wonderful if at least one picture of those dark items are on a light background so you can see them better. I'm A big fan of the purple haunted house blow mold but they're asking double of what they should be. And even at half its price, it'd still be kind of high.
