I was really let down by their blow molds this year. Way to cutesy, when the last few years they were solid, classic ghosts/ cats. There's actually nothing I've seen from Michael's so far that even tempts me.

I really like the hanging skull planter. It's much more realistic and less stylized than I expected. Very much like planting succulents in the skull of my enemy, lol. It's staying out year round.

The heart vase, hmm. The issue is that it's made to be viewed from all sides, so the 4 valves become many more and end up looking like some ambiguous organ with tentacles. I think I might try to add some rub & buff to the heart itself and select valves to highlight certain ones and help others not be as noticeable.

Couldn't resist. Saw in it person and snagged it. I tried some coupon hacking and didn't succeed. They had these on "sale" since the hit the shelves, and my coupon wielding powers aren't advanced, so I threw some gift points at it and got it for about $70 out-the-door. Bit of a sting, but I love it.

I like the Dracula bust, the Frankenestein head planter & Poe head planter.

I got a Poe head planter last year but he's got a wound on his head. He's currently outside with a too tall kalanchoe in it. I prefer the new one without any wounds.

Ugh, I just noticed the toilets.

OK, why are they all sitting on the toilet with their pants on & the lid up? Now I don't wanna see monsters "twigs & berries" but if they're gonna put 'em on a toilet with the lid up they should at least have their pants around their ankles or make 'em with the lid down.

Skellies could get a pass, especially if they're not in other clothing, but I like to think Frankenstein & Poe are aware enough of their bodily functions that they'd pull their pants down while reading on the toilet!

As for Drac, I didn't think he need to "void" himself at all since he's...oh nevermind...I'm over thinking this aren't I? 🤣

I always thought of it like a parent running away to "use" the bathroom to get 5 minutes to themselves away from a kid or someone else in the house. 🙊

So far my only NEED item is the candy corn pillow...finally there's a cute one I can have out all year!! The Haunted Forest stuff that I was waiting for finally dropped online today so I placed an order for store pickup on some things I had my eye on since I don’t live near a store but will be in the city this weekend. I used a 20% coupon which seemed like the best deal currently. I have no idea how quickly these things typically sell out but I wanted to get what I had on my list this weekend. I ordered the two claw candle holders, the crystal snail and then a skull tabletop piece. I really wanted the raven on the books too but no stores in the area had them available yet so I will hope they’re still available later in a few weeks when I’m back.
