Zombie Containment - looking for alternatives

1905 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  thenightmarefamily
Like many others here, I'm starting to design my more complex props and one of which will be a zombie containment box and/or barrel (haven't decided yet).

I was wondering if anyone knows of cheaper alternatives to the videos that Hi-Rez Designs makes (see below). I like what they have because some specifically have the actor banging against a glass window and that's what I want, but I honestly don't want to spend $80 on a disc, nor do I want my set-up to be complicated in terms of triggers and whatnot.

I wish AtmosfearFX had what I'm looking for. I may just drop them a line and suggest it.

Anyway, if you know of anyone that has what I'm looking for please let me know. Thanks!

When I look at the Hi Rez Designs product features everything is there for you except the price point you're looking for.
The Product Description shows it can be non-triggerable, and has looping technology, therefor it won't need to be complicated if you buy the std version.
Yes, it's the price. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see spending $80 on something that isn't going to be elaborate. If I was going to use triggers, air canons and all kinds of stuff then I could maaaaaybe see spending it. I was just curious if there was something similar out there at a cheaper price.

I asked AtmosfearFX if they would ever offer something like that and they said they had some new items coming out but couldn't say what just yet. So I'm hoping they'll have something that fits with what I'm looking for.
You can produce your own video if you have the equipment know how and time. If you want someone else to do it professionally for you, 80 bucks is cheap in my opinion. The nice thing about Hi Rez versus Atmosfear's products is that they are more exclusive, and therefore more unique.
Both are excellent quality, and you get a lot of production for your buck with both of them. If you make your own it will be the most unique!

Here's one from Scaremation that may interest you for $25.00

Here's the link to purchase. You can get here from www.scaremation.com as well. Thought I would save you a step.

I get ya, I haven't bought store Haolloween props ever with out altering it in some way. i can't see spending that kind of mony on a glorified TV set. I'd rather build my own that way i know it wont break after 1 year.
