Anybody worked their tail off producing a video for their YouTube channel only to get that dreaded "contains copyrighted content" message when you publish? I once got dinged for this because a neighbor's radio in the background could be heard - if you listened hard - playing a Kelly Clarkson song. YouTube offers a tool to remove the copyrighted song and replace it with generic music from the YouTube audio library. Ever use it?

It is annoying. Seems to me there should be a threshold. For instance, if my kid creates a video and uses a Katy Perry song in it... it shouldn't even be a blip on the radar until it gets X amount of hits. At that point, they should talk about paying for the rights or removing the music altogether.
