Show me your count-down clocks. Mine didn't come out as well as I would have liked but, it will have to do for this year.

I don't think that I have ever seen an automated Halloween clock. Nice Job. I have that same gargoyle, I never thought to use him as a post topper.
Col Fryght noted I spelled cemetery wrong on my sign ROFL I guess that's what you get for working on props while drinking. Thanks for pointing it out Col. Fryght I'll try an get it fixed soon.

The clock itself came from a Christmas count down clock that I re-purposed. Thanks Matrixmom and Chupacabra.
Nice Job! I actually like Cementary.. maybe put an Al Capone stone in the yard (play on cement shoes)...

I actually just tried using a video editor to put this together.

It is the Atmos fear FX Pumpkin Jamboree with the days until underneath..
Thinking of leaving three pumpkins on a block of hay and at night projecting this onto the pumpkins (and a white sign in front of the hay bale to pick up the days until projection)
The only issue is that I will need to make 31 clips and manually run them every night.. I do like it though. These pumpkins actually remind me of
my friends and I so I may try to use it since I have no place for it on halloween night.
What a great idea.....my hubby would be shaking his head at me but I would love it1
:) Here's mine! I made it last year, and I am putting it out Sept.1st this year.:D

The numbers are magnetic, so I change them every morning. So many kids made their parents drive by my house every day to watch the numbers count down. It's lit at night with a spotlight and the ghost and pumpkins light up too.

Pumpkin5, I love that I wish mine looked that nice...maybe I'll build another one next year.
Pumpkin5, OMG I *love* your sign too! Did you stencil your letters or do everything freehand? Would you consider doing a tutorial in the step-by-step forum?

After seeing Stringy_Jack's sign, I googled automated countdown clocks but the larger ones are out of my budget. I love the whole idea of a countdown clock! DH would be thrilled if I could secretly put one together & surprise him with it...
:) Awwww, thank you guys! It was a labor of love, for sure. Jenn&Matt, I'm pretty sure I did a build thread on it. I used a projector and traced all the words, but I came up with the poem myself. It had humble beginnings as a wood pallet that we had something delivered to the shop on....and I thought to myself...hey....a countdown calendar.:D I had wanted to build one for years, and this one definitely was a big hit in my neighborhood last year. Here is how it came to be in one of my albums. Just PM if you have any questions. http://www.halloweenforum.com/members/pumpkin5-albums-halloween-countdown-calendar.html

I think I'll have to put out a small one next to my mailbox. I've already gotten about 20 confirmations for neighbors who want to eat/drink/hang out in my driveway (and more importantly, in my garage with the buffet and keg). This will definitely bring the interest, but I'll just have to check the HOA agreement about how early decorations can go up. Yeah, I'm in one of those neighborhoods.

The Unoboard has been with us for 3 years now.

It's plexiglass with one side painted black, and use fluorescent dry erase markers. Here it is as a pumpkin sale announcement. The kids update the countdown every morning from about 100 days.

Here's the one from my website for good measure. You can add it to your own. Just edit the datefuture year each year.

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
//######################################################################################
// Author: ricocheting.com
// For: public release (freeware)
// Date: 4/24/2003 (update: 2010-06-09)
// Description: displays the amount of time until the "dateFuture" entered below.
// Modified: allows multiple countdowns on the same page

// NOTE: the month entered must be one less than current month. ie; 0=January, 11=December
// NOTE: the hour is in 24 hour format. 0=12am, 15=3pm etc
// format: dateFuture1 = new Date(year,month-1,day,hour,min,sec)
// example: dateFuture1 = new Date(2003,03,26,14,15,00) = April 26, 2003 - 2:15:00 pm

// CHANGE: add additional
dateFuture1 = new Date(2015,9,31,00,00,00);

// TESTING: comment out the line below to print out the "dateFuture" for testing purposes
//document.write(dateFuture1 +"<br />");

//###################################
//nothing beyond this point
function GetCount(ddate, iid){

	dateNow = new Date(); //grab current date
	amount = ddate.getTime() - dateNow.getTime();		//calc milliseconds between dates
	delete dateNow;

	// time is already past
	if(amount < 0){
		document.getElementById(iid).innerHTML="Happy Halloween!";
	}
	// date is still good
	else{
		days=0;hours=0;mins=0;secs=0;out="";

		amount = Math.floor(amount/1000);//kill the "milliseconds" so just secs

		days=Math.floor(amount/86400);//days
		amount=amount%86400;

		hours=Math.floor(amount/3600);//hours
		amount=amount%3600;

		mins=Math.floor(amount/60);//minutes
		amount=amount%60;

		secs=Math.floor(amount);//seconds

		if(days != 0){out += days +":"+((days!=1)?"":"")+"";}
		if(days != 0 || hours != 0){out += hours +":"+((hours!=1)?"":"")+"";}
		if(days != 0 || hours != 0 || mins != 0){out += mins +":"+((mins!=1)?"":"")+"";}
		out += secs +"";
		document.getElementById(iid).innerHTML=out;

		setTimeout(function(){GetCount(ddate,iid)}, 1000);
	}
}

window.onload=function(){
	// CHANGE: add additional
	GetCount(dateFuture1, 'countbox1');
	GetCount(dateFuture2, 'countbox2');
	GetCount(dateFuture3, 'countbox3');
	GetCount(dateFuture4, 'countbox4');
};

</script>

ZB, how does the middle block rotate?
Well, I didn't pay close enough attention to the weather report yesterday and we got some high winds with some thunderstorms in the afternoon while I was at work and this is the result. Light on column busted beyond repair, gargoyle broken off and it's face destroyed and count-down clock broken off the column itself. First weather damage of the 2015 season.

My condolences! Weather damage is no good way to start the season! :(

However, I suppose that if there is a silver-lining, it's that there is at least some time to make repairs.

In the spirit of the original request, below is our countdown clock....it should be on display come October 1st:
