I am trying to find vampire wine to give as part of the Best Costume prize. I looked at a grocery store that has a large selection of wine but they didn't have it. Has anyone bought it in store before?
I checked out their site, but the product locator thing isn't working. I bet you could email them and ask who carries their product in your area. [email protected] Or you could call them... 310 VAMPIRE or 310 274-6600 OR you could order online.
The site is: Welcome to Vampire.com
I used to order it directly from the website but each bottle was charged shipping - I ordered 5 bottles and was charged almost $20 in shipping in addition to the retail price of each bottle. The last three years I've requested it be stocked in some of our liquor stores and some found it sold so well they keep ordering each year without my friendly reminders. Get the word out to your favorite retail outlet and ask them to order some. One small store even special ordered for me and I didn't have to pay shipping - they were too small to stock it but were glad to take a special order. The merlot is wonderful and an integral part of my Halloween celebration. I would call some of your bigger stores and ask if its in stock.
I looked for it at Liquor Barn (a GIGANTIC liquor/party store) but the clerk said they don't carry it. I've also seen Black Cat Riesling mentioned on here, which sounds like a good alternative. I settled for a pack of Nosferatu Ale instead.
I just went to Cost Plus and saw quite a few.
They did carry the black cat reisling ...which i thought was so cool...bought one
They also had the red Vampire wine, the EVIL white wine, and a few others...all under $10
I have several random Halloween items that I've never used and have just been sitting in a box in my basement, so I've decided to give them away.
One lucky winner will receive all of the items pictured below.
Before I get into how to enter the giveaway here's a little backstory:
Happy New Year to all the Halloween loving pumpkin growers. Ooojen mentioned it was time for a new thread, and what ooojen wants, she gets. :D Yes, I am in full seed buying mode. I am following the Giant Pumpkin seed auctions closely. Here is a link to the auction list...
Just wanted to share our haunt this year - we just moved into the neighborhood in August (that is one way to make a first impression on the neighbors...lol). Only had about a month and a half to get it up and running but it turned out pretty amazing.
I thought a thread dedicated to posting “helpful” solution items might make an interesting read. We all come up against projects doing something for the first time and might not know about things that could make our projects easier/cheaper maybe even better. So share if you have or used...
