Last year it was the Grandin Road skeleton dog that was demanding 9-10x their initial price on ebay, what is the super in demand item this year? Anything?

I still had a heck of a time finding the skeleton dog this year in stores. I finally located one at a Spirit Halloween store. But, they had to get it from one of the other local Spirit stores because they were sold out of their own stock.
I'm seeing some of the CVS Headless Horseman figures on ebay for ridiculous prices. People trying to make a killing, and take advantage of others.
an't that always nice, I think sprits led lights are just got two for only 5 bucks more through home depot although they just got the blue in , and I'm keeping
the fire & Ice from sprits
Overpriced?

The Fire and Ice dragon from Gemmy. (inflatable)
Going for 4 to 5 times the retail price on ebay = ridiculous!

Ditto! Sold out in all NC lowes stores. Be careful of the ones on ebay, if you ask most aren't the fire and ice kind. They are the smaller 6 foot models without the fire and ice chest .. I've asked about several.
The LED paintings at 99 Cent Plus. I think they were $1.99 and I saw them selling on ebay as high as $40. Haven't checked lately but I'm sure the price is way down since so many people tried to jump on that gravy train.

I suspect that is more people attempting to prey on the inattentive, looking to buy the Grandin Road headless horseman instead.

Add to this list, anything Halloween related from second hand stores like Salvation Army and Value Village. I shopped for Halloween there before it was 'trendy' and then there were deals to be found. (I still shop in the 'regular' section for items that the store wouldn't deem 'Halloween' but that works for my props and costumes.)

Those stores have caught on to the money pit Halloween can be and charge ridiculous prices for both new and used items. I once considered a 'new' costume because I was desperate for a couple of items in the box. The dress was torn. I guess it had been returned and rewrapped as 'new'. I asked the clerk what the discount was be and they said there wouldn't be discount because it was a 'new' costume!

People donate to those stores because they believe they are supporting non-profit organizations. But only a max of 10% goes to the charity. These stores are overpricing these items to latch on to a trend. Silly little deco items that should be $.25 or $.50 are priced at $3.99 or more. It's criminal.

wow, that's completely ridiculous!
I really haven't looked for anything this year so I'm out of the loop. But I was reading about what you said about the prices in thrift stores. Most I shop at say the lowest price they have is $ .99. And you are right, some of the stuff should be priced at .50. Heck, at those prices the can't even under sell Dollar Tree. And they get all their supply for free. Just curious, when they clear their shelves of stuff that didn't sell, do they send it to another thrift store, or what happens to it?
Seems like that haunted clock spirit stores sell is on ebay for $150, but no one's taking. Walgreen's NBC Sally is high on Ebay too!
