Another fog timer, real mini strobe to replace led strobe in my cannon. Wife got the skelly zombie cat. Ours really had no big props left, granted we got there late.
Nothing for my haunt because I didn't really see anything I wanted but I got a few cool smaller things. A little 12 inch skeleton for my 3 year old to play with, a cool skull magnet, a Star Wars key chain and a Walking Dead pint glass. About $40 worth of stuff for under $20.

Here was our haul.
I prefer to build my own props, especially the animated ones, but skeletons and snakes are good, basic, props to have on hand.
I'm happy that our Spirit had some of the AtmosFearFX videos still to help round out our collection.

Our spirit took my 3 - 48 inch blacktubes back to stock - said they werent for sale. Hmphh...well then dont leave it there for the 50% off sale. And what ? costumes 25% off>>>every year its always been 50% off everything. Oh well didnt spend nearly as much as I did last year (@$400 -mostly lighting) only @$120. Got some skellies, skulls, some zombie animals, and extra candles pack that fit the gothic candelabra they sell. Thats it. They had removed alot of items.
I went in mine late this afternoon and they were still fairly well stocked. At least one of everything left. Lots of skeletons but I couldn't bring myself to spend $25 on them because they are fairly common now at about that price, and I don't want to have to store them for a year. I'll just be sure to grab them at Walmart early and at Rite-Aid when they go on sale for half price next year.

I got a severed head, some gloves and a couple of AC adapters. There wasn't anything else I really wanted or needed. I noticed that the jumping spiders were no longer discounted, so I assumed they were half off the $79.95. But $40 was the regular price this year.

My store did have a Coat Rack Monster left, and I'd advise anyone to grab one if you can find one at half price. It made for a great scare this year.

Got a whole car load. Drove 3 hours to get to the closest Spirit. Got home and half of what I bought was reboxed broken returns with missing parts.

My wife is furious.
Nothing.... We went 5 times this year, and the only prop we got this year was the Possess Hanging girl. Even at 50% off, nothing really jumped at us...

we did spent around 500$ this year at Halloween Alley...

My store had some of those too. I'm pretty sure all in-store sales are final at this point, but I would email Spirit and see what they say. Someone posted a similar problem on their Facebook page the other day and they provided an email address. I'll see if I can find it.
That happened to me last year with a Creepy Caretaker prop. I had planned to purchase another one this year and return the broken one early in the season before the "No Returns" kicked in. But they didn't sell him this year, at least not locally here. But with a bit of surgery I was able to fix him up and he functioned flawlessly on The Night.

This year I grabbed four major props, Peek a Boo Penny, Coat Rack Monster, Lurching Zombie and Harvester. I tried them all out as soon as I got home, except Lurching Zombie. He was still sealed in his box and when I opened it and saw how densely packed he was and all still obviously factory wrapped, I decided to roll the dice there, I'm sure he's fine.
That happened to me today. I purchased the electrocuted prisoner and when I took it out of the box the piece holding the guy up is cracked.
Does anyone know if they'll still be opened tomorrow??
I purchased a few things yesterday and today. They didn't have anything left that I was really wanting, but I still managed to spend more than anticipated.
Attic light
Pumpkin nester
Harvester
Electrocuted prisoner
The attic display unit with the 6 spot lights
Electric box
Another ghost writing book (in case my original breaks)
Costume accessories
Jack o lantern jamboree dvd
A few footpads and ac adapters
I think that is all

mine was picked through the week before but I grabbed a faceless specter.

Awesome! The cherubs were so bad that the link cable was missing and the one that sub lied power was also defective. All 3 jumping items we got are stripped out and won't reset.
Got a small cross tombstone, a blue LED spotlight, a gallon of fog juice, and my son wanted a pack of chopped off fingers. Was hoping for a 1000w fogger, but knew they would be gone.
There was a run on Spirit in my area. About 50 people there running in and hording stuff - 2 families had at least $1000 worth of stuff (after discount). I guess that's good for overall Halloween though.

I got the new "Jumping Skull with Tombstone" and "Lil Nester" (which I'm disappointed with and wish I'd seen on a demo first - it's just kinda stupid). Got an AtmosFear FX creepy crawlies DVD which I'm looking forward to using next year.

It was a light year for me.
Only one of the 3 stores in my area was open today (and no way of knowing that before heading out). They had five or six of the Evil Scientist available and a decent mix of other props including the Coat Rack Monster. Already had the Coat Rack Monster and was tempted by the Scientist (he was my other potential this year), but passed on it since I bought a few unexpected larger props recently.

Everything in the store was 50% off today, including costumes. Picked up 2 wig caps, one Pirate Captain's beard and mustache, 2 of these kind of neat looking silver metal "Skeleton Hand Bracelets" and one of those giant deluxe feathered burlesque head pieces. Plans are to cover up the sequins and rhinestones on the headdress, add a skull and bones instead or snakes etc, and use it as sort of an Inca native chief's headdress for my jungle theme. The silver skeleton hand bracelets will go on his hands and I have a silver half mask I've seen that I'll still have to pick up to complete the chief's main decorations/jewelry. Kind of excited about creating this prop now that I have these new costume accessories.
