So I found 2 brand new (one just used to test it the other never opened) Chauvet Hurricane 900 fog machines with remotes and timers at a yard sale today along with 2 gallons of swamp juice from froggy.com. Paid $50 for all. Did I get a good deal? Or did I get suckered?

I've tried to see if I could find some idea of what they cost new, but apparently they don't make the 900 any longer and now there is a 901 instead. Not sure what the difference is, or if the 901 is an improved 900.

Thought I could use them with a fog chiller and create some low lying fog in the yard.

I can’t speak to the Hurricane specifically, but I have extensive experience with Chauvet in general. Their gobo projectors are amazing, as are their uplights. My two faves of all that they offer. In my experience, their products are seriously built to last. I trust their quality.

Thank-you for that info. Gives me hope then, that the fog machines aren't going to be duds.

I have the Chauvet 901, it's small but it produces some pretty hefty amounts of fog. I suspect the 900 should be similar in build/quality.
This will be my third year using it and it's held up great. Sounds like you got a great deal because I paid $70 for mine.
