It's been a hard hard week (or so) but Halloween is still happening at Olde Oaks!

Wow I know people east of me have been having all kinds of bad weather and I feel bad for all those who have been setting up early and been affected. Man that looked like a really tall tree. Did it crush any of your halloween display? Looks like some may have been knocked over but hopefully otherwise intact and useable. Nice cemetary set up BTW and I love the look of your neighborhood, nice family houses and mature trees.

Stay calm and carry on with Halloween is the motto.
Herman (the ghost in the first picture) was completely shattered. Herman Jr is in the works.

So sorry for the damage to your set-up. We have had some wicked weather here, too.
Very sorry some of your stuff was damaged. I've been working on props so I only have a handful of tombstones out and I'm a bit grateful as the wind and rain has made a rather dramatic entrance lately.
Ky. Has been having hail and tornados, ten already.

Right up 35 from you in Keller. Wind two nights ago tore down half of my backyard fence.
Herman Jr is now at his post,

the Rain last night didn't harm anything but the wind has been kicking up all day. hoping I still find everything in place when I get home from work

Hope Herman jr is there when you get home! I'm about an hour west of you and we've had gale force winds all day long. So far, my hanging ghost (cheesecloth over chicken wire frame) got caught in the tree branches and ripped up pretty good. I got him inside before he blew away so I can fix him when the wind dies down. I've got one tombstone (a tall one) leaning almost to the ground but it's still staying put. I'm just glad I didn't put out my stirring witch or reaper yet. No way they would have survived this.
My yard is very sheltered so I think he will be OK . The wind storm ripping up our neighborhood was unlike anything we have seen or our neighbors remember and being a typical Texan I was at the storm door watching it all ! https://flic.kr/p/pxnfA3 Warning I do say a single curse word at the end of the video. the trees whipping around are mostly Red oak and White oak Mature adult trees. the one that falls is (was) about 12 inch diameter white oak.
