I' m new to the whole web site thing. I'm not sure if it is a web site or a blog that I want to set up. I see many member on the forum have their own site displaying their haunts, showing how too's and sometimes selling their wares. Please inform me as to which I would likely want if this was also my goal. If I set up a site I would only want something of quality.

Are you following me? It seems that your always there to help me out thanks! It sounds like this site moonfruit is free, what is the catch? Where does your artwork come from, because I'm sure it isn't just a templet. I would probably still need someone to put it together for me to get what I'm after.

Only the picture is something i made....

Everything else is not, its just a combination of your website type and colour scheme and that is pretty much it....

If you need any help let myself or nightrideproductions know and im sure we'd be able to help you...

Myra,
This is what I tell my customers that want web pages.
Here's what you need:
1. You will need to pick and purchase a domain name (i.e. www.HalloweenForum.com - already taken obviously)
2. You will need to find a hosting site. (Those listed below are some of the many options available.)
3. Design (here's where all the options come in)
- deside what you want on the site; How to's, photo gallery, etc.
- deside a color scheme (if you are not using a site template)
- Images on the sight - you'll need to either have someone create them, or find "free" images that you can use. Be careful here - there are a lot of images that are copyright protected
- animations - to use or not to use, simple animation or flash animation, etc
- Prepare you text content - what you want to say, labels and descriptions, etc.
4. Decide if you want to do it yourself or pay for the final product.

I'll be happy to answer any questions this list may have inspired.

Good luck with your site.
