Weather in a Box - Tempescope

I saw this on the WaPo weather blog & thought someone here could find a use for this. I wasn't sure where to put it so here it is in General, feel free to move it mods.

They're crowdfunding for it right now so they're not available commercially but, more importantly for this site, they have instructions on how to build your own. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy & 10 being needing-a-degree-in-engineering, this is a 10 for me but for some here it would be less or even a 1.

Yeah you can look out your window & see the weather or check an app, but I still think it's kinda cool & I'm sure someone here could tweak it for haunt purposes.
