Wanted: Review of Fright Props Electronic Firecrackers

2025 Views 11 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Col. Fryght
I was considering purchasing some of the electronic firecrackers sold by Fright Props. They do not sound very loud on the website video and wanted to see if any forum members had some feedback that they wanted to share.

Thanks.

I have had the Flash Plate and Flash Crackers for a few years now. They both work great and are pretty loud. Got them on sale to use with an electrocution prop and they performed perfectly. I used the Flash Crackers with the Flash Plate to create a more random popping effect.

I have one, I would recommend it. They are much louder in person.

Thank you for the replies. I am planning on putting the firecracker strike plate (which contains two firecrackers) in a metal trash can and placing it near my front porch. The wireless remote for the strike plate is like a $20 add on. Also, I was thinking about drilling holes in the trash can to let the noise escape. Plus I wanted to put a red light in the can and the holes would let the light bleed out.

Anyway, that is the master plan for what it is worth.
I've used it as a startle that then sets off sound activated props.
I believe Fright Props has a how to on their web site, to fix the firecracker when it stops working, (have not had to do it).
If I remember correctly there is a gap (like a spark plug) that needs to be adjusted after a period of time.

If those electronic firecrackers are in a metal trash can, you will NOT need to drill holes in it! Wow, that will be loud.

Thank you. I promised I did a search and did not see that thread. What a great forum for feedback!!! Thanks guys.
I have the smallest one and like others have said, it's LOUD.

I picked up a wireless remote control from Home Depot for like $18'ish to control it. Someone in our haunt was at a torture like station near the exit with the Spirit electrocuted prisoner. He would manually trigger the remote when people came by. It helped keep the flow moving as people would go running out when that thing went off.

One of the guys in our haunt group used them on his electric chair...turned out awesome
I pulled the trigger yesterday on the flash plate which contains two e-firecrackers from Fright Props. With Fright Props having a couple of items on sale, I just figured it was a good time to get a couple of things and have them shipped at one time.

Though my trash can startle will be about as simple as they come, I will post the results when I am finished.
