The wife is gone.

The bedroom window is open, and the room reeks of belladonna. The broom is missing. Then it hits me...

It's April 30th, Walpurgis is upon us.

Have a safe and sorcery-free evening, folks. Guess I'm ordering a pizza...

Walpurgis is Beltaine Eve, sort of like how Halloween is All Saints Day Eve (the All Hallowed Eve, or Hallowe'en).

So May 1st is the old European Beltaine, or St. Johns Day.

And no forgiveness needed, Tremblin', a lot of holidays have ended up on the trash heaps of history as time marches on, or didn't really translate to the Americas, like Michaelmas. Others changed and morphed, like Imbolc/Lupercalia, which became Candlemas. It only survives in the United States as Groundhog Day.
