Almost finished my last prop of the year. Need a couple more arms from GhostRide...and a little distressing and I'll be done.
I haven't seen this as a garage cover yet (but a tutorial would be easy. Each weighs about 30lbs - so will be easy to move.
May not be able to park cars inside for a month but I like them :) 14430551232923.jpg 14430551104412.jpg 14430550983651.jpg 14430550826150.jpg

Please leave comments so my wife doesn't think I'm crazy :)

That looks awesome! Never saw that done before with a garage door but you nailed it. Love the arms coming out! Tell your wife you're not crazy, just a creative genius!!

That is cool! Now if those arms were moving from being mounted on a shiatsu massager that would add a nice creepy touch. Overall sweet. Love the idea there.

I actually used 2×2 to frame it out. Then used 1/8 panel board (super cheap at like 5.25$ a sheet) for the main body. I applied Great Stuff for texture. For (2) big props it was fairly cheap. I can just close the garage doors each night so we can keep them open if we want to peek out. 14430949014300.jpg 14430949150081.jpg 14430949271542.jpg

I'm going to put two of the green yard stake lights on each side of the driveway angled up towards it. I bought some cheap faders and will have them fading in/off at different intervals from one another.
