VSA Routine , Help!!

Ok , this is what I am trying to do. I have 2 3 - axis skulls, I have the routine called "Who's On The First Slab" by Kevin Ambrogio. What I want to do if possible, is run this on VSA. I know how to get 1 audio track on to a routine , but can't figure out how to get the 2nd audio track on to the same routine. I have split the tracks ,so I have 2 seperate tracks, left and right, but when I run the wave motion analysis all I can get is one of them. I have tried to loading them in a different order but the one I'm having trouble with will not show up in the Wavemotoin analysis. I'm trying to run this as 1 routine with 2 audio tracks in it. Any ideas? Am I even able to do this? Thanks for your help.:confused:

hmm...have you tried loading ONLY the one you still need to do?
If that doesn't work, try opening it in Audacity and switching the L/R. You can revert to the original after you run the wavemotion analysis.
Mr. Chicken, I have already tried that and it did not show up in the wavemotion analysis. When I tried to load the second audio file it seems to "overwrite" the first file. Thanks for your help.
Have you tried combining both audio tracks into one file?

Split the tracks into two different sound files. Make sure they are both in MONO, meaning you can hear the RIGHT track in both speakers, then the LEFT track in both speakers. Run the first, say the right channel under the WMA. SAVE.
You shouldn't hear the second track at all because it shouldn't be there. Select the other jaw servo channel and load up the 2nd left track ONLY without the right, and run the WMA again.SAVE again.
Load up the ORIGINAL stereo track for play back. It should work.
You can do this with one stereo audio file, provided you're running VSA 4.0. Using audacity, record one skull voice 1 on the left channel, and skull voice 2 on the right channel. When you load up the audio file in VSA, there is a dropdown box to choose which channel to display in the Wave View (Displayed Audio Channel). If you load up a stereo file, it will give you two options, left and right.

No need to load up multiple files. first animate the left channel to skull 1. Go back to the load audio tool and change the Displayed Audio Channel to "right". Now animate skull 2.

Hope this helps.

I'm assuming you mean split the track in Audacity. I have done this and it saves it as an" Audacity projects (*aup)" and it won't load into VSA that way. I cannot remember how to convert it into a wave or mp3 file that VSA will accept. Any ideas?
Under the file tab, look for 'Export as WAV...'.
bfjou812,
Dr. M is correct. Taking the mono file and recording each track separately is the way I did it. Had to reverse the tracks (right/left) in Audacity and reloading. I struggled with getting both tracks into VSA. It's been quite a while since I did it, but Dr. M seems to have come the closest. There are probably easier ways, but I didn't find them. A little tweaking and presto chango...Something like this......

Also, if I remember right, VSA would only load the right track and I loaded it, then took the file back to Audacity and somehow swapped the right and left track. Then took that file back to VSA and loaded the new right track to the other skull. It plays both tracks and both skulls have the correct track to follow. Seems like I had to shift the entire left track forward to get the proper timing. Don't get frustrated, just take your time and look forward to a very fun prop!!!

Thanks , that 's what I kind of figured. I'm now getting an error message about the directxutils.......................... Great job on the routine, that's the one I'm working on. I think it will be good if I can ever figure this out!!

Terra, you are talking about exporting the file from Audacity right?. Just a thought I have a "Beta" version 1.3 unicode. Maybe I'll dump that and get the regular program.
Yes, I was talking about Audacity. Hope that works for you. Just went though my own sound file nightmare last week. UGH!

I just downloaded the regular program.........seems to be getting closer
I don't use this enough to be real good!! I appreciate your help and I'll keep plugging away at it . I think this will be great with my 2- axis eyes as "Lou":D As long as I keep up with this it will validate my beer drinking!! :D:D
Thanks to everyone who helped ,I was able to get the tracks in for the jaws and now all I need to do is get the other axis' done . I just got the Trackskull software from Monkey Basic so this will be a great prop to use it on!! Again thanks for all your help!!
