I'm confused. Are you wanting just the black and white picture for the style of that era or is your mother-in-law going to paint over it or is she going to use it as a reference to paint a new one? EBAY usually has a butt load of them in the photograph section and you can find them in the Halloween section.

I've always wondered what it is about those old photos that make them so scary looking. I'm not sure if it's their lack of smiling, or what it is. They just have a creepy look to them even in their natural state.

Halloweiner, I think it was because they had to sit still for so long to let the film expose. I believe they had to sit still (e)motionless for almost 5 minutes if I remember correctly.

My mom has one that has always creeeped me out because it is of a beautiful little blonde 2 year old laid out at his funeral. The back says he drank kerosene and died...so sad!

that would probably freak me out if my parents had that kinda stuff lyin round... halloween or not.
