I've long wanted to add a fence to my graveyard but don't really have the storage space to put it in the off-season. I keep all of my props in the attic and there is no way I could get those fence sections up there. That being the case, I went a different route than the typical pvc and wood fence.

I used 1" pvc to create stantions, added a hook near the top, painted them black, glued on some plastic skulls I found at Halloween City and added black plastic chain I found at Amazon.com. They are standing on 24" rebar driven into the ground with a foot section of 1/2" pvc slipped over that to help with stability. I think it turned out pretty well.

Looks great and good solution to the storage issue. I'm doom something very similar this year, only my stanchions have lights on top of them. I looked for cheap chain to use, but couldn't find anything in my price range. What did you pay for the chain?

Storage

I, too (as I'm sure many do) have storage issues. You did a great job! Last year I spent a few weeks (work full time) building 6 sections of fence for the "cattle gates" (i.e. gates to guide the guests in line)... This would have been much easier!

I think that I will actually do this next year and use the fence pieces in the yard. Bravo!!

Thank you so much for that link! More than a couple of times I almost broke down and bought the halloween kind, to the tune of 9 bucks per 6 feet! Just got 50' of this from amazon. Exactly what I needed. Hang some creepy cloth and/or moss over this and I've got myself the barrier I need for my application. Thanks again for the heads up!

I did the same here not so much for decoration but to keep the TOT's from getting near the pneumatic props and possibly getting hurt. It also contains the kids who want to touch everything and kids from riding their bicycles up onto my lawn on Halloween night.
