Anyone ever use an ultrasonic mister for cauldron smoke? Wondering if it will do the job for a large indoor cauldron.

Depending on how much water you are going to have in the cauldron, I had to place a bowl upside down in the water to place the mister on top of it to get it up to the water line so it would work better but yes it worked. I did not like the little smoke that came out especially if you have wind or air movement around. I wound up placing three of them on top of the bowl and it was great effect.

It might also depend on the mister. This company seems to have great misters with high output. Plus they come with a buoy and extra parts. I'm using them next.

Thanks for the info! Doing a "Reaper" version of a Cauldron Creep using one of my custom "Sinister" Talking Skulls. It will be indoors so looking at other smoke options instead of fog.

We use a little one in our Witch cauldron every year. It actually kinda does look like something steaming but doesn't give a ton of smoke. The one thing I'd caution you about is the water condenses nearby so it makes the immediate surroundings kinda damp...not sure what it would be like if you had one with high output.

Cool, confirmation that low temperatures = mist makers not working. That's why one utterly failed me way back when. Just no good for outdoor use at our typical temps.

Hmmmmm. I wonder, would an aquarium heater in the water help?

They also make heated water bowls for pets which will keep the water from freezing.

Bumping up this thread, I need a few more, and there are so many different types and companies. I'm looking to put them into flower pots on top of the pillars I made. anyone have any tried and true models?
