Depending on how much water you are going to have in the cauldron, I had to place a bowl upside down in the water to place the mister on top of it to get it up to the water line so it would work better but yes it worked. I did not like the little smoke that came out especially if you have wind or air movement around. I wound up placing three of them on top of the bowl and it was great effect.

Thanks for the info! Doing a "Reaper" version of a Cauldron Creep using one of my custom "Sinister" Talking Skulls. It will be indoors so looking at other smoke options instead of fog.

We use a little one in our Witch cauldron every year. It actually kinda does look like something steaming but doesn't give a ton of smoke. The one thing I'd caution you about is the water condenses nearby so it makes the immediate surroundings kinda damp...not sure what it would be like if you had one with high output.
