Hi, Folks! Uh-Oh, I found a “just-gotta-have-one-of-these” props. I was driving on I-75 here in FL yesterday and saw a large, white van in front of me. Being a Halloween enthusiast – it had a huge picture of a crystal clear bottle in the shape of a SKULL, with vodka in it -- and being a vodka drinker, I immediately wrote down the Web site.

I thought it was bogus until I went to their site I certainly enjoyed Dan Aykrord’s intro/teaser about the product...quite clever. I later received an Email communication from Andrew Stodart, the VP of Marketing at Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Ltd. and he said it was available at ABC liquor stores here. Looks like I found me a new prop! Hmmmm…fill it with red water after it’s empty and it should look REALLY cool.

Cheers!

Somebody posted about those a while back and I really really wanted them, but my cheapy liquor store has them at $45 a bottle and it's about a child-sized skull size.... so I couldn't justify the price. The good vodka I usually buy costs half that for the same amount, so you are really paying a pretty penny for the bottle.

However, I mentioned to the hubby that it would be a good birthday or anniversary present.... :D

I just got one at a meet-n-greet with Dan Akroyd here in Orlando where he was doing a bottle signing. Big crowd, but worth the wait!
Have you seen his Youtube sales pitch for this stuff???
I wonder how much he drank before filming???????
He was totally whacked. I wonder how much he pockets from the liquor company?
I think the bottle should at least be adult human size for the price.

Pefect timming! I was at my skull shop yesterday just making skulls when my friend came over to give me a present! It really is a great tasting Vodka, very smooth with a bite that follows.
Sounds tasty! I'll find out soon.

If it's the same one on their website ( I linked it in the post) Crystal Head Vodka , it took me a couple of viewings to appreciate his wit. Some of us old enough recall him (Dan) doing his 1975 & '76 sales promos like the "Bass-o-matic".

Yep, exactly... Like he was just doing another skit for SNL and not really into it (saying to himself "they want me to read this????". "Skull-o-Vodka"

Just as a note, he's not the spokesperson for Crystal Head Vodka, he's the owner. He's been in the wine distillery business for a while now and has recently been the sole importer in Canada for Petrone Tequilla.

Must be great to make your own booze and drink it too....

I bet the bottle would look nice with some good gold tequila in it instead.

I did go to the website. They were going to help me find liquor store near me. But I found one on my own. I found one of the skulls, at a local larger liquor store. They don't get many and they sell fast. I will have to make some bloody mary pitchers this summer. :D I will want to use it someway in my Halloween display.

Thanks for the feedback. Wow, you talk about perfect timing! I'll be sipping mine tonight to see it tastes. I really like your LED wall skulls. Did you make them ( I mean the skull itself)?
