Twisted Tales Invites Idea

We are doing a Twisted Tales Halloween party this year and while certain elements are coming together rather nicely others are somewhat more of a challenge. It has been next to impossible to find invites that tie in with the theme, so I thought ok make my own. My first thought was to use a single, black cupcake box with at least one clear window. Inside the box I want to have an image of the witch’s gnarled hand holding out a poisoned apple and the recipe / spell page for it, and / or the Beggar’s Disguise Spell. This would be the background for some cake pops / chocolate truffles (haven’t decided yet) made and decorated to resemble apples with one of them appearing to be poisoned. Thankfully everyone who comes to the party lives nearby so delivering them wouldn’t be a problem. The party details would be on a mini scroll. :)

The second idea I got today was when browsing in a pound store. They had handheld mirrors with decorative black scroll around the edge which I thought would make a good invite, maybe with some spooking up to age them and a creepy reflection added. This would also be with the mini scroll tied with a ribbon or hair to mimic Rapunzel’s. I like this idea but worrying if the guys that are invited might find it too girly for them. The other thing is, if I go with this option what can I put them in? The mirror is approximately 9 inches long and at its widest point roughly 5 inches.

I think you should combine the mirror and the poison apple cake pops as they are both the evil symbols of snow white. I have no idea what you would put them in though, maybe the original cakepop box you were going to use with the mirror tied on top of the box and the invitation cut to fit in the mirror part.

Do the mirrors have a hole in the handle? Some do for hanging. If so you could just put twine through and just leave them hanging on friends door knobs, no packaging needed.

Thank you, I really like this idea too and think it could work with a different style of box than I was originally going with.

Unfortunately these are the type without the holes for hanging them up, but now wondering if I could adapt them somehow or even just add the hole myself. Thank you for the great idea.
Oh the mirrors are a great idea! I don't think the guys will mind at all since it's an invitation.
