Hey all you wonderful Haunters!
What do you use to fill in the cracks when you make tombstones? I have 2 pieces of foam that are glued together and need to use some type of filler to make it smooth until I rough them up and paint them.
What do you prefer to use for this filler?
Thanks so much!

I use a waterproof paintable caulking. It takes about 3 applications with dry time in between to get it to a place where it can be sanded smooth and totally unnoticeable. However if you are not as anal as I am, remember these headstones will be viewed in the dark so you really do not need to sweat it that much.

Foam putty. You can find it in hobby stores that sell model train stuff.

I use Great Stuff spray insulation foam to glue pieces together. I apply a little more around the edges so it oozes out the sides, once it dries just sand it down. It also works well to fill in large areas.

I have used a little bit of everything for filling in dents and chunks. I like the spackel compound the best as it is easy to use, dries fast and sandable.
