This year SILENT HILL(s) !!!HELP!!!

So I was as upset as everyone else when the Horrific news came out that Silent Hills was Cancelled. As such I will never delete the PT game from my PS4. This year (with the help of some large clean boxes that had 5ft round tables in them) I decided to have my own Silent Hills Haunt. Never tried this big before so for me this is starting early. Here are pics of my rough layout and of the first two walls I made yesterday.

Looking good so far, very nice walls, how wide is the walking area?
OMG I would loooooove to go through this! That demo was absolutely terrifying!
There is no question that the series has lots of potential as a haunt. Good luck with the endeavor.
Thanks all.

xxxscropion64xxx I'll have to measure the planking out to see if one width or one and a partial will work for the width between walls. Space inside my Garage is the concern...

HalloGeek I hope more people walk through this year than last (kid you not a whopping ZERO people) but ehh oh friggin well, I do it for the love of Halloween.

Garthgoyle I totally agree with you! I figured out a plan for a larger scale to include 4 identical hallways connected together as a professional attraction. but heh I was just dreaming.

PT was a very atmospheric demo , great idea to make a walkthrough version . Your cardboard walls and window are a good start . Looking forward to following your progress .
Sounds great! ive always wanted to make a Silent Hill Tombstone with burning embers at the bottom
Wow...I love the idea of the cardboard walls. How are you supporting it? Can't wait to see more as you go along.
Oh wow. Is that all cardboard?
YES it IS! I have been collecting large clean sheets over the last year. the window frame is actually the carboard corner supports that come inside a washing machine shipping box. I'm making the credenza tonight out of two Styrofoam packing sheets that came from my neighbors Nordictrack (will post pics tonight) after I finish the wall sections my intention is to make a wood support frame out of 2x3's. The frame will be needed when I paint the walls (wet paint and cardboard will warp the bjeezus out of it)

OK so I slapped together the "credenza/dresser" and its now ready for paint. i'll add brass looking plastic handles after I have it a nice wood grain color. it wont support too much weight but it doesn't need to either.

I did some Silent Hill props... Wanted to do a Silent Hill haunt, but Mother Nature destroyed that dream... Long story..

I had Pyramid Head almost done, and 2 nurses done too.

You had a nice start to some creepy good things! What did you use for the arms for your Pyramid head? Bummer to hear you got rained out :-(
I am like you as i dont usually get many visitors but last year i solved that issue. I live in a good size neighborhood and i also live in the back of it. So what i did was, i put out a sign on the main blvd about a week before halloween. It was just a big arrow pointing in the general direction of the haunt. It was made from foam board but had the tombstone look. I had on it- BRAVE ENOUGH ??? On the arrow and then on the stem of it i had- HALLOWEEN. This caused everyone to wonder what was going on where. I usually only see about 10 kids but last year i had over 300. Maybe you could do something simular to get more to yours.

UPDATE!!!!! I got back on the horse and started work again on my Haunt! I finished making the walls and painted my credenza mock up. Plus, with a little creativity and a Bluetooth speaker from Five below, I'm making a retro radio to play creepy stuff :) Pics coming soon!

There are six walls total 5ftx7ft
Then the Credenza (is that what you call it?) was too big so I cut it down and painted it
Go Power Sprayer!
then there's the fun project, the radio. I carved out a shape and glued some reusable grocery bag material over the speaker hole and picked up a Bluetooth speaker from Five Below. After some quick editing I have a pretty creepy sound bite to play on it. So yeah I'm having lots of fun this year! I just hope it comes out like I want it to.

here's the sound bite. I might modify it a bit more but you'll get the basic gist of what I'm going for, I think.
