I am really not sure the best ways to purchase cheesecloth most of the cheesecloth I own came on costumes and props. I have made it a habit to try and find reviews for every thing I buy. Amazon has a great review process even if you don't purchase from them see what other users of the product have to say. I haven't had much luck making a nice cut in cheesecloth its like trying to cut an old t-shirt, but if your wanting jagged edges shouldn't be a problem.
