I wonder if there's a limit of one free card? I was just thinking I needed about 4 bags, and these prices are really about the same as I'd pay anyway...so if I could get $20 towards props...although I'm not sure that Target is selling anything that I like, other than the Edison bulb strings that they FINALLY actually have.

Better yet, buy 2 bags, get your $10 gift card. Walk the 2 bags out to your car, go back in for your other 2 bags and use the gift card.

my ad said... buy 2 10.00 bags of candy and get a 5.00 gc

" Mars Minis Mix MilkyWay, 3Musketeers, Twix & Snickers 45.8 oz
FREE $10 GIFT CARD
sale price $9.99
Mars Minis Mix MilkyWay, 3Musketeers, Twix &...
offer description
$10 gift card with purchase of 2"

This is copied from the site. I don't know if we are seeing different ads, I am sure it is possible.

It does not say limit one per customer, person, or transaction. I added alot of bags to my cart, and the cart added the gift card on for every 2 bags I added to cart.

I think the worst part of the deal is the pick up in store aspect. Target has just started the store pick up, and I see many complaints that they aren't very good at it yet. But I have never used it, so I don't know if it is a hassle or awesome.

If their candy prices aren't terrible, it would be a pretty good deal to get a gift card and put it toward more candy.

I considered ordering them through the site, but it says that they mail you the card if you do that--even if you pick up the order in the store. Unless I misunderstood that part.

I'll take a chance on stopping in Thurs/Fri to see what's left, if anything. If nothing, then I still have time to order online if the site will let me.

I assume that if you're not using the site, just coming in and buying on the spot, you get the card at the end of the transaction, to use towards a different transaction. I may have that wrong too, maybe they just mail the cards no matter what?

I know what I posted is confusing, so add 2 of the eligible candy to your cart and proceed to checkout. It will display your options for getting your gift card.

:) The cart says on my end that the candy is NOT AVAILABLE for SHIPPING. It seems like they want you to buy online, pay online, and pick up in store.

Then, if the cart is to be believed, your gift card/cards will be emailed to you or text delivered within 4 hours after you pick up your item. The gift card can be mailed to home 5 to 8 days after purchase. I would think the email or text option would be better if you were trying to purchase more candy or items in store.

This deal says it is good until the 4th, so a visit in store maybe needed to see if you can use this deal in store. I hope you get your gift cards, LairMistrress.

Target should just give paper or plastic gift cards when you pick up or check out. But oh, no, they have to make is difficult,

I did this when we bought our PS4 at Target...if we bought the PS4 online and picked it up in the store, we got a free PS Plus membership gift card. It was emailed to us once the PS4 was paid for. Everything was easy and went smoothly. I would imagine it would be the same for buying candy online, picking it up at the store and getting a Target gift card via email, but who knows, lol.
Sigh, too bad I just bought all of our ToT candy...
Hmmm...when you look at the weekly in store flyer/ad, it says a free $5 gift card with purchase of two bags, but when you look at the candy online it says a $10 gift card...I wonder which it actually is, $5 or $10...??

I am going to guess that if you buy in store, it is the $5 for the purchase of two bags. If you buy online and pick up in store, they are offering the $10 gift card for 2 bags.

It is either that, or a massive mistake in either the online or in store pricing.

Somebody will have to take one for the team and buy online and pick up in store to find out. I would print everything off and take it with me if doing so.

My local Target said it's a $5 gift card.
You are correct; I logged in this morning looking for the gargoyle tombstone that has been out of stock all season to see they have changed the online pricing and deals to $5 for a purchase of 2 bags of candy.

Thanks, Target. Your error made me a big fat liar.:p
Ugh, I forgot all about this, and skipped Target today! Oh well, I was doing it all in-store anyway, and now that it's only 5 bucks, it's not worth driving back an hour to participate.
